Install the BandVWM software from Stardock Central.  Then right-click on your taskbar and choose "Virtual Desktops" from the toolbars.

One more thing...How do I save the software so I can put it on a disk. Is that possible?

How do I save the software so I can put it on a disk. Is that possible?

Click on the software you want to save, and select File/Archive Application/Selected Application

Alternatively, you can automatically archive every application you download by clicking the "Auto Archive on Application Update" checkbox at the bottom of the screen.

C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\BACKUP

But note that you don't have to do that, unless you really want to archive the software. It's really not necessary, just keep a copy of Stardock Central and you can always just redownload the applications if you need it. The easiest way to install software is to just click on what you want and then click the Install button. Note that if you already have an older version installed, Stardock Central will show you a Update button instead as it will not download the whole thing again but only the parts of the software that needs to be updated. Makes downloads much faster.

Ok...I tried to open it. I dont see how I would install it. There is no App file. Im a little confused. Im a big fan of making a disc for my software.

could you please explain haw I would insatll something that was download an archived?
You need to restore your backups with Stardock Central.

Why are you confused?

You can backup the applications the way you did it, excecpt that the archived applications don't have a setup file. You need to open up Stardock Central and select File / Restore Application in order to install them.

Note that there are new updates for different programs every week or even more. Maintaining a backup CD could be a lot of work to keep it up to date.

Ok. FX is a big resource hog....I believe.

I love IconX it is working great now.

is it ok to run IconX, Iconpackager, Object Dock, windowblinds, DesktopX, Widgets, BandVWM, Rainlender, and CursorXP all at the same time. It seems to be fine.

Any tips I should know about before I get carried away.

FX isn't so much a hog per say, its performance depends a lot on your video card and the drivers for it.  But it doesn't have to be everythig or nothing.  Personnaly, I don't use the minimize/max effects, as my video card probably isn't too great since the animation is slow and choppy. I use FX for the shadow effects, the menu effects, as well as the tile to desktop options. It hardly uses any resource at all with these options.

I just have to say one thing...Holy Crap! Object Desktop is the shi^

Iv'e got so many options it's not even funny.

There are so many configurations that I am about to BURST...!

What have I been waiting for. I should have got this a long time ago. I mean there are so many great features that I have used to enhance my desktop.

Object Desktop'' Will You Marry Me...ahhh 'Heaven'

To top it all off 'Stardock' sent me an e-mail saying they would credit my account for a discount. What more could I dream for. Today is a Great day!

Ok this is strange.

Every time I go to Stardock central to checkfor updates, it tells me I need to update Skin Studio Professional. So I do, or should I say I let it do it.
Anyway, it says it updates it successfully but then if I go right back to check again, low and behold, it needs to be updated again.

I did try rebooting after it updated to see if the changes needed to take affect.

Arjun update.

Well, I have nothing which must mean something.

I sent a letter out in the mail. Thou another found its way back to me. This last one has not returned.

My hopes are high. Could it have been recieved by the famous Turtle man himself.

If so will he reply?

Will are famous wincustiomize friends get their long anticipated release of the HG- theme.

Stay tuned folks!

Same Turtle Time.

Same Turtle Site!

Why do I bother?
