MikeB314's VOX cursor ripped !!

Thanks for the report, Styl skinner. I gave someone permission to port them to linux, but I can't find the email and I don't remember their name.

I'm going to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume it was him I gave permission to.

I was about to say something on their board. Lucky that my computer crashed so I had to reboot and didn't get to it yet.

Ah, I see mike, but this guy has 3 other cursors ported to linux, also from here...

you´re pretty fast with rip reports and accusations, aren´t you. there is nothing that indicates those could be rips (credits are given). it would be smarter to email the authors of the originals and ask them, before posting public accusations. also emailing makes it easier for the authors, as not everybody is reading this message board.

Moshi...check BoXXi's thread on rips.....a number of sites...ALL with 'credits', and all ripped...

sure, but don´t you think asking the authors per email first is the better way?

BoXXi´s thread is completely different. BoXXi should know to whom he gave permissions, while Style skinner has no clue wether MikeB314 has authorized these ports or not.

moshi....speaking from experience [just a little], most times it's a case of NO permissions were forthcoming.
The ONLY thing Styl skinner was guilty of was the omission of the word 'possible' or 'probable' in the thread title.
Even MikeB is unsure if it was authorized or not...

Sorry if I shaked some people awake out there.
Tomorrow morning when I wake up I will go send out some mails to the orriginal authors and the POSSIBLE ripper.
(Somebody please advice what to do when I don't get response from him....)

moshi...I, as you well know, am a LiteSTEP user and have been for many, many years. I rarely get to see 'icons' at all, so am not up to speed with who is doing what with them [as if anyone is].
Assuming these are not the same person, and the ripper/rippee is in the right order then it will be 'sorted'....

better hate those OS manufacturers. if they would use a free format as PNG or SVG instead of proprietary formats as ICO, icons would be cross-platform compatible and most ripping would become obsolete.

well OS rips are accepted at Wincustomize. too bad this is not ripped from an OS. this is ripped from a design idea by cotito! (a french designer, not an OS manufacturer), and not from an OS.
