Apprentice to World Leader

Apprentice to World Leader

When you click on someone's name it shows apprentice, master apprentice, debutante, God, etc..

What is the order that those go in and how are the obtained?

Don't you just hate when ppl can't read your mind

I was meaning to say citizens instead of visitors and what they know is if they are aware that status doesn't rely on if your a skinner or not.

Hope I have been as clear as mud?

It's been mentioned bi-weekly on the messageboard for months now. That question always comes up. But as a newbie (as I was once) I read the about section the day I signed up. Everyone should do that.

You are right about those things should be read. After awhile reading rules and regulations get to sound the same with the bottom line being common sense.

Just curious WOM, do you read every installation agreement or just click the accept button.

If your talking about software programs, no. Just once, they are all almost the same. But when I join a site, yes I do read what I can do and not do.

If you want, Delicious, I also do not contribute skins to WC. Feel free, tap on my account info. I've never done graphics in my life, and the only reason I was promoted was because of my contributions, however little, to the messageboard. Why didn't you bring up my name before?

If people find it unjustified that I should be a journeyman, please, take it up with the admins... you're more than welcome to convince them to de-mote me

This entire thread is silly. Why should anybody care if somebody is an apprentice or a journeyman? In my opinion, those who wear their title in front of their nicks do so because they need an ego boost. I'm not talking about the "Sirs" or "Developers" or "Skinners" or whatever, just the 'official' titles like "Master Apprentice", "Journeyman", "Master", etc. The entire point behind the titles is silly. Just be who you are. Go by your nick. Don't flaunt your status (unless you're an admin). Do you really think it makes other users respect you more?

If you have taken notice, I use to only go by Elfkura. Why did I put my title back in the front? For cases of emergencies whenever it comes up. Now, there are quite a few users on this board, and when help is needed because there's a thread that's just... gone bad... someone needs to be contacted and sorted out... are admins the only ones to run to? Nope, they've got enough work as is... no need to add more, IMO.

I put my title back there, along with WOM and maybe a few others, is to let people know that I am here if something happens. It is more likely that I can get to an admin faster than most people will if something ugly exploded. Do I have an ego problem? Probably so. My title on this board is just like a policemen and their uniforms. If they wear t-shirts and jeans like you and me, would we know who they are? Do we know to run to them for help?

Think about it.

I have to agree with Elfkura...otherwise you can't see the forest for the trees. Those that do have title have earned them (please note I have no title) If anything it is a badge of seniority...those that have over time given enough of themselves to be noted for such.

I didn't ever realize it was an ego issue to care about the recognition that has been earned. Its a personal opinion as to whether or not to disable the title, it's in the 'Edit Account' link at the top, for those with reading issues

If you earn something it's an honor to wear the title you deserve, If you were a doctor would you not want the moniker Dr.... It's not an ego to want something you've earned... it's an ego to want more.

Seems there is a misunderstanding. I started this thread because I wanted to know how the rankings were determined.

Unlike everyone else I didn't read the rankings page and was uninformed. Hell I didn't even know it was there.
I was under the impression that rankings were determined by skinning abilities. For that injustice, I apologize.

I mentioned WOM and that was a mistake. IMO WOM is one of the kindest, friendliest ppl here and should display his well deserved status proudly.

For those that think this thread is another attack on ratings you are wrong. I will openly admit that I think the skin rating system is flawed but concerning the status ranking, well that is something not of concern to me and wouldn't mention it at all but for a clarification. In other words I would never make any judgment on a persons character and that is what I see rankings are based on.

The bottom line is, this is not my site and the things that don't concern me I don't comment on. Skin ratings I will always comment on them until it is fair. I have given a great deal of my time to try and make a *snicker* good skin for everyone.
Persons status, I could care less unless I need to email someone with authority.

UHRBid is quite correct. Concerns about whether a person has or hasn't a 'title' is more a reflection on THAT person's 'insecurity' than the one with the 'title'.

It's your deeds and deportment/conduct that is/are important, not your 'handle'...

It's all right, Delicious. Everyone's gone through misunderstandings
