WindowBlinds 4 - Umm, where is it?

WindowBlinds 4 - Umm, where is it?

Okay, maybe everyone is tired of people asking about this, but it's been 11 days since we were told about it and still no WindowBlinds 4. I have been checking Component Manager everyday since Jan. 12th and still nothing. What's going on?

Where is WB4???

In Cartoon WB the long version and the custom colors are not supported by WB 3.90 ?. The short version is supported. Anyone else.

I had to exclude AOL.... that is OK since I only use it because it came free with my computer. I switch to IE once I get connected...

So far it is smooth, sweet......

um... I think it is the splash screen on AOL that won't work with it. Once I got connected I opened their browser to see what would happen and it seemed ok (the buttons, toolbar... didn't skin, just the frame.

***blush*** sheesh... I have it excluded... so I don't really know. sorry...

OMG! EVEN Quicken skinned!

lets try this backwards. Does anyone know how to turn the shell explorer background images off/watermark images off?
- right click My (your) Computer
- choose Properties
- select Advanced tab and open Visual Effects dialog box
- Uncheck "Show Backgrounds for Specific Folders Types" (or something to that effect)

No go it was checked and shellstyles still didn't apply with the skin.

I also have the same problem with the long version of Cartoon. I'm too impatient to fix it myself, so Cartoon (short) it is because WindowBlinds 4 is really cool!

I am using MikeB314's Vox Blind and everything is skinned correctly, even some stuff that were previously on the exclusion list are being skinned.

correction* seems I was wrong about the User Icon feature -- turns out it lets you -dis-able the icon dispite having the welcome screen turned on. Wish I could do the opposite

dangit, I unloaded WB these background shell images show just fine, but dont show with WB

is anyone else having probs with shell folder backgrounds, or am I just totally missing somethin. If its a bug I'll give up, but no one else seems to be having the problem.

Is version 3.90 really supposed to be a preview of WB 4? The reason I ask is because I thought WB 4 was supposed to skin the command prompt, but mine isn't. The Logoff buttons are skinned now, which is nice though. Love the ones provided with the Toon-XP suite.

Shakey, you have to tell it to. Go to display properties, then appearance tab, and then click the advanced button

Thanks, Thornz. I've been waiting for command windows to be skinned for a long time now. I love it!

Skinned dos prompt/window here, but it is not touching Directory Opus... Must need to look in DO and see if there is something I need to turn off or not...

Directory Opus attempts to skin its own titlebar & so WB automatically disables skinning on its main window.

You will have to ask the authors of that app to stop doing that.

One thing I have noticed is that while the redrawing of windows is superfast the redrawing inside of them (such as a internet explorer window) is slow until you turn off cleartype. Not a big deal but should be noted.

Cleartype uses a lot of CPU and thats why its slower to paint. This is normal and happens without WB too.

I'll bite - how do you turn cleartype off?
