Congratulations, Ryan!
Your IQ score is 124

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ Test.

During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. To determine your ability in these areas, we compared your answers to those given by the 6.5 million people who have taken Emode's Ultimate IQ Test.

The even better news is that Emode has taken intelligence assessment a step further than the rest, offering you insight no other IQ test can give. We have developed a reliable statistical algorithm that analyzes patterns in your responses to determine the unique way that your brain functions, revealing your Intellectual Type.

Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Precision Processor. This means that among other things, you have superior skill in mathematics.

Would this be a bad time to mention that I didn't understand anything in the 4th paragraph?

This would be a REALLY bad time to mention that I re-read the 4th paragraph and now I get it

(PS. Is there any possibility we can get rid of the vomiting icon and replace it with a blushing icon? Because now would be a REALLY good time to use one )

Congratulations, Joshua!
Your IQ score is 131

Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Visual Mathematician. This means that among other things, you have superior skills in mathematics and spatial reasoning.

Ok, this proves the test is somewhat screwed. The visual part they got, but I've rarely gotten above a C in any math class.

Your IQ score is 12

This number is the result of a formula based on how few questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ Test.

During the test, you failed to answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. To determine your ability in these areas, we compared your answers to those given by the 6.5 million people who have taken Emode's Ultimate IQ Test. We gave you 12 points for finding the page in the first place.

The even better news is that you probably can't understand that you're dumber than a wet stick.

Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Non Existant. This means that among other things, you could manage a fast food establishment.

I can't believe it's not butter!

This is the email that I got back from the IQ test (which I think is *really* off because it said that I have an IQ of 164, and I actually have the IQ of a turnip).:

"Angela, you are an Insightful Linguist. Did you know?
71% of Insightful Linguists would be more tempted to see their main squeeze covered in whipped cream, than eat an ice cream sundae covered in whipped cream."

Hmmm...good to know!
What is a "good" IQ, anyway?
As for that last, I think 120 is considered to be average/slightly high
Reply #58 Top
Theoretically, if an IQ test is designed properly, it shouldfollow the following curve:
4% of people: 60 IQ and less ---> retard
17% of people: around 80 IQ ---> below average
58% of people: around 100 IQ ---> average
17% of people: around 120 IQ ---> gifted
4% of people: 140 IQ and more ---> genius

164 is very unlikely but possible I guess. It would represent about the top 0.01%. Equivalent to an Einstein.

Note that only the "gifted" top 4% are accepted as members of Mensa.

To me, that is highly reprehensive. It's segregation, as much so as racial segregation is.

hmmm, well if Paxx is right, then this test didn't calculate mine correctly because it said I had a 153. I usually blow away the spatial type tests and usually do very well on math (said I was a precision processor), but I don't quite believe 153.

and I wouldn't join mensa on a bet...sorry if I offended.

Yumm, I'm gifted. I think I should take it again. I got a 131 in Aug. I should of gotten smarter since than. Unless all the caffine and drugs killed brain my cells
Reply #63 Top
The test is definitely wrong. There is no way that I would be in the top 4%. I may be a bit above average, but nowhere "gifted". The test seemed too easy compared to the typical IQ tests that I have seen. I also don't think that it was long enough, so if you guessed correctly a couple times, then your score would be much higher. I wonder if the test changes. If so, I bet that you couldn't get the same score twice. I should take a "real" IQ test sometime and compare them. I would think that it would come in around 115 (slightly above average).

my last test about 2 years ago showed 139 which is what I've been most of life...

My normal range is 123-127 depending on the day.

I think the only problem with the tests were that they weren't timed like the real ones. Like was said by a couple people before.
The other tests on the site are cool and neat. I took like 10 of them in Aug. I was bored
Reply #67 Top
There is a fine line between genius and insanity. That could explain things.

Now this test is slanted in favour of higher scores. You'd have to be a real dopey to score below hundred on this one. Logical, 'cause the aim of the test is to get you to purchase their "extensive analysis", something which people with lower scores aren't too eager to do.

crae: exactly...but intelligent people know better than to buy them. They must not be doing very well

It should be noted as well that a true IQ test should indeed be timed and has way more questions. It should take about one hour to complete and have more than 100 questions.
Also, in theory, your IQ is immuable. You cannot, in theory again, become more intelligent nor less intelligent. You are born with it, just like your hair colour or your skin complexion. You can gain more knowledge, but that is not what an IQ test should measure. It should measure your ABILITY to gain knowledge (AKA your intelligence), not the knowledge you have at the moment.
But, having said that, it has been shown that some people can learn to do well on IQ tests, therefore the test would not actually measure your IQ but your ability to answer an IQ test.

Only the top 2% are allowed into Mensa. The test is 2hrs long, taken under normal exam conditions. There are a set number of questions in each section to be answered within a time limit. That's the key to IQ, most people would get most of the questions right with no time limit; it's all about solving problems as fast as possible. IQ is also dependent on age, you kinda slow down a bit as you get older.... On my official entry exam for Mensa I scored 164. Initially I was disappointed with that because at about 23 I took the unofficial Mensa test and scored 181. Only later did I find out that 164 was close to maximum for my age. It also allows me to join the 1000th percentile club.

But is it useful for anything? Dunno, I do the dumbest things at times, so it doesn't help there. The only things I have noticed are negative. Quite often when people find you are in Mensa you get instant resentment back. The more intelligent you are the more frustrating things are because you know you should be able to understand things better but can't. Then there's the constant feeling of wanting to strive for something better but knowing it will never happen.

Must be nice to be dim and not have a care in the world

Paxx,

What you say is true in theory, but I believe intelligence, or thinking ability, can atrophy with lack of use just like a muscle can.

At one time I tested into TOPS (Mensa's for dummies) but would be surprised if I could do so today. (I didnt join.) Maybe you are correct and the native intelligence is still in me somewhere, but I sure feel stupid compared to where I once was. Certainly a loss of knowledge - maybe that's just what makes me feel less intelligent.

And for Aqua - Your school math scores most likely mean nothing. I failed most classes and didnt even graduate with my class and I easily had the highest IQ is the class (at a highly academic private school). It was actually kinda funny. I was brought into the office and an administrator tried to explain to me that I shouldnt be getting the grades I was getting considering I outscored the rest of the class on the recent testing. The humorous part was that she was explaining this to me like I was an idiot - because of my grades - while she's telling me I was the "smartest". "Smartest"? Like others have mentioned - why doesnt that translate into success or happiness?

Your IQ score is 120

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ test.

The even better news is that at Emode, we've taken your IQ test one step further. During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We were able to analyze how you did on each set of those questions, which allows us to shed light on the way your brain uniquely functions.

At the same time, we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist.

The first thing we can tell you about that is you have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. But that's just scratching the surface

Mensa... interesting...

164? That is high.

Didn't Einstien fail math in Highschool?

Didn't Jordan miss 4,504 a season?

Why is it that the greatest leaders seem to have the greatest quarks?
