Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

KarmaGirl ... That's a very bright and happy picture! Thanks for sharing it!

/me ***BLUSH***

Thanks KarmaGirl! I just wanted to give something to everyone for Christmas and it was all I could think of. It was going to be all decorated, but I gave up. /me thinks the most funny thing is someone tried to say it was copyrighted and Webshots deleted it... they would have a hard job finding anyone to claim that thing but me.

Anyway I sent them a challenge. I explained all about the situation and I expect them to document their reasons for destroying my work.

WW: Go back to GM's link, right click on it and choose "Copy Shortcut", then open IE or whatever flavor of browser you're using, and paste the URL into the address bar. Click go, or whatever and you can see her magnificent card!!

How are you werewolf! How is the season treating you?

/me presents: Poetry in Place

"Nature

As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please
him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we
know."

Hi Gm, goodmorning/afternoon/evening/night (got to have the right one there somewhere ). Didn't get a chance to get on this morning, there wasn't enough time before work cos I got up late. Unlike some I don't spend my working hours online, I have to work !

Like the pic, soooo much colour. Very cheerful. You're not doing bad with PSP - I still can't get it do do anything... Managed to get a round button last skin, but thats as far as I've got.

/me needs to spend some of this holiday with PSP tutorials

Hi GM...How's the shoulder?

The seasons treating me ok I suppose. I'm having to work very hard to get into it this year. For my kids, y'know? Don't quite seem to have the "Christmas Cheer". Sort of 'same o, same o" Bah... I'll get over it. Just need to sing a few songs of the season, wrap a bunch of presents, all that sort of stuff.

Hi WW... it's real sore. I thought I was going to have PT, but it was only an evaluation. They submit it for insurance approval which generally takes a month. In the meantime it has "frozen" and there are some exercises to do for it... but they have my back muscles in a knot!

Fuzzy Logic needs to spend some of this holiday with PSP tutorials

/me gets impatient with tutorials... gives us and just pokes around with stuff. The bigger problem is getting any ideas at all.

/me has concluded maybe having a vision is a big part of creating art.

WW I know what you mean about season blahs. Maybe in some ways having kids is a godsend for you. Seems sometimes they are the ones that keep the rest of us from turning into Scrooges....

/me goes to join the snugglefest on FLs lap.

/me suggests werewolf joins the cuddle pile on fuzzy!

/me feels the need for a cuddle right about now

spending most of the day arguing with my program is depressing me, and i have a slight headache coming on as well

/me offers to give GM a back massage once she has settled down in the pile

a good rub over the muscles should help sooth and relax your sore muscles, which is a good start

/me thinks a snugglefest sounds like the best way to start off the day and also the best way to end the workday!

/me is all for a good backrub! Thinks maybe feline could use one too! Reciprocal friction... you rub my back and I'll rub yours!

/me suspects a massive ball of tickling will help cheer us up

so where is fuzzy logic and JavaBean?

Feline-"so where is fuzzy logic and JavaBean?"

I'm here! Was just a bit busy!

Werewolf-"Don't quite seem to have the "Christmas Cheer". "

I can send you a bottle. Mine is labeled "Parrot Bay Rum". If you guys promise not to tell anyone, I'll tell you a little secret- I don't like Christmas. I have never liked Christmas. I'm not religious, so it is not associated with that. When I was a kid, I liked it, but as I grew older I started to not like it at all. People are fake during the "season". They do "nice" things because they feel like they should, but they stop after Christmas is over. Christmas is also too commercial. It's all about the gifts. I rather just get together with friends and family, but it always ends up revolving around gifts. That is why I always try to make mine. I feel like it is more of a connection with my self than just buying something for somebody because you are expected to. the whole season just bums be out. I have been trying to be as "jolly" as possible though since I have a 4 year old who is *really* into Christmas this year. I enjoy getting together with people over Christmas, though. So, i guess it's OK. The funny thing is, since I make such an effort to not get bummed out by Christmas, I seem to be really into it, so most people think that I love it. I put trees up and lots of lights and bake cookies and have Christmas music playing all the time. I try to like it....I just don't. I like the time off from work, though
Reply #4193 Top
Christmas. Bah humbug. Hate it myself. Just another money making con job. Personally I celebtate Winter Solstice. It's so much nicer celebrating the turn of the year and looking forward to the spring than celebrating some non-existant religious event

/me says goodmorning to the whole world. Peace man

P.S. KG, it's not gone unnoticed you're baking cookies

if it is an emergency, i am here

i have vague memories of once doing a first aid course if that helps

do you think you can hold out, or do you need immediate attention from the nearest bystander?

/me wonders if some tickling would help hold fuzzy together

There, Fuzzy, that should do it!

/me runs away to bake cookies for everyone!
/me offers to help JavaBean with the baking!

after all, it is important to make sure the correct ingredients (chocolate) are used, and there are enough!
I have 4 bags of chocolate chips, do you think that is enough, or should I get more?

I also plan on making homemade chocolate covered cherries.
