Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

goodmorphing: um.... I have been busy deleting posts and banning people and acting like some guard... sigh. We might be in the same kind of mood... If you want to try to bite my head off, then can I chew on your ankles? Seems a fair trade.

/me would much rather snuggle...*BLUSH*

Confession time: I was so stressed yesterday I had four bars of chocolate (yes, all to myself).

/me would much rather forget yesterday and think about nice furry things instead...

Fuzzy Logic - If I don't unwind soon my head will explode...(not a pretty sight)

/me peaks out from under GM's t-shirt, thinking that i need to do something to help fuzzy feel better

Fuzzy Logic is not a happy fuzzy bunny right now

/me *sad*
/me climbes out of this warm comfy place, and *HUGS* fuzzy

cuddle the pussy cat, happy cats give out vibes that relax people

Fuzzy Logic - So where are the ankle biters when you need one - I'm just in the mood to rip someone's head off...

/me recormends a soft squishy stress ball

then when you feel like this you can hurl this at the floor with great enthusiasm!

and since it is soft and squishy it doesnt tend to bounce, which is good! especially when you are at work in a room with lots of computers.

i find this to be remarkably theraputic, and the people around you (who are normally the cause of all this stress to begin with) quite quickly get the message that you arent having a good day, which is a bonus, since they tend to take the hint and leave you alone

Tell me about it. Users, bah, computers run much better without them. The hardest part is convincing people it's actually them when a pc apparently goes 'wrong'. Replaced one yesterday. User compains about the new one - 'it's doing the same'... > I give up.

/me already has a stress ball...it's a bit squished...

werewolf - You can rip my head off if you wish.

/me grabs the magic wand from the first aid kit, just in case

/me doesnt want anything happening to cuddly werewolf

Fuzzy Logic - Tell me about it. Users, bah, computers run much better without them.

/me gave up talking to users years ago

i am currently in the process of stopping talking to our helpline now >

yesterday is a good example:

a problem was submitted 2 months ago with the lowest possible priority.

at the time i said that the problem description sounds like they havent set the software up correctly, rather than a bug in my code.

so i have been working on urgent problems since then, when people make a fuss, and get me to look at this problem.

using the provided "evidence" i cannot reproduce it. no examples of it going wrong can be provided.

apparently "lots" of people have this, but no one can name any examples.

um, so what exactly would you like me to do about this??? it is still listed at lowest possible priority.

and then today "the program doesnt draw graphs".

i press the graph button, and it says "no data to graph". well??? thats not a bug.

and example 2 of this, it draws a graph!

so can i get back to my urgent problem now? the one with the deadline we passed 6 weeks ago?

Fuzzy Logic already has a stress ball...it's a bit squished...

/me thinks i should use fuzzy as a stress ball, and fuzzy can use me as a stress ball

Fuzzy Logic - Confession time: I was so stressed yesterday I had four bars of chocolate (yes, all to myself).

/me notices this means fuzzy now has a high chocolate content

/me wonders if this means fuzzy is good to eat?

/me thinks we should try nibbling on fuzzy when we next find him in order to find out!

Hi! I'm back from my long weekend! Did anyone miss me?

Thanks to all of you about the comments on my pictures. I took some while I was "up north" and plan to post them to DA. They are nothing amazing, but a couple of them really capture the feeling of the moment. I'll let you guys (and girls) know when I post them. I love that new camera of mine! I just wish I would have bought the telephoto lens for it before my trip. Oh, well! I have to leave something to hope for!

I didn't have nearly enough chocolate or coffee during the weekend, so I'm trying to catch up!

I need to go slap T-Man around for suggesting that this thread should go away....mean Janitor! I guess he had to get on this thread and pick on everyone while I was gone.

On a happy note, my back is doing much better and I am no longer on Vicodin and Valium, which is nice. My brain was feeling pretty fuzzy for awhile...and not in a good way

Hey KarmaGirl, nice to have you back - and there's nothing wrong with feeling pretty fuzzy...

Don't worry about T-Man, we can sort him out! A couple of spanks and he was never seen again

/me is the one who has a sore back today

feline: feline thinks i should use fuzzy as a stress ball, and fuzzy can use me as a stress ball

...interesting suggestion...I wonder if we could get everyone else into this squeezing thingy...

/me thinks squeezing sounds much more interesting than spanking or tickling

Hands up all those who hate work...(in the case of non-humans, paws or other appendages)

/me has 15mins before work starts but would like to play with furry animals in the forest instead

/me was never sure if I passed that test or not!

FL: there's nothing wrong with feeling pretty fuzzy...

I think I see a new trend! We can all gather about and feel fuzzy.... even some squishing allowed!

Oh me! ME... ME... Me... /me jumps around waving frantically to register her vote for not liking work all that much....

KarmaGirl... I was about ready to send the troops to find you! I forgot all about a vacation; worried you might be wandering about in a drug-induced haze or something! Glad you are OK. Looking forward to more pictures!

feline: happy cats give out vibes that relax people

We call that purring over here.... or in the case of my little nephew on hearing his first happy cat... "He's percolating!"

feline gave up talking to users years ago /me makes a note to hide signs of being a computer user...

Ok, I haven't been here for a couple of weeks, and I looked at the list and it's gone.

I'm in shock. Can someone please tell me what happened to it?

Or if I'm an idiot, and I've missed it, can someone tell me anyway?
Um.... welcome back Sir Ryan! Which it is missing now? I'll help you look for it (if I only know for sure what it is, that would help)!

Ryan...are you sure you want to read that thread?
Yes, that aafuss thread is still there......

Stupid back hurts again, and I forgot my drugs at home. Went to take some headache medicine (figured it has pain medicine in it...) that I left on my desk (I give it to people in need) and it was empty! They used it all while I was gone and left the empty bottle on my desk! I guess I will have to limp to the store at lunch and buy more...

/me did!

JavaBrain - Thanks to all of you about the comments on my pictures. I took some while I was "up north" and plan to post them to DA. They are nothing amazing, but a couple of them really capture the feeling of the moment.

so we liked what we saw, and said so

JavaBrain - I didn't have nearly enough chocolate or coffee during the weekend, so I'm trying to catch up!

/me wonders if now is a good time to point out the high chocolate content in fuzzy logic

JavaBrain - I need to go slap T-Man around for suggesting that this thread should go away....mean Janitor! I guess he had to get on this thread and pick on everyone while I was gone.

/me offers JavaBrain the use of the straight jacket, in case you think it would help?

goodmorphing jumps around waving frantically to register her vote for not liking work all that much....

/me looks up to see GM jumping about and waving

/me considers what this could mean

. . .

/me see's only one sensible interpritation

GM is obviously eager to make a fuss of me!

/me thinks that up the front of GM's t-shirt would be a good place for me to settle down
