Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

I would say that, if you compare their coffee to their food, the coffee wins. I don't like McDonalds, but my three year old loves the play structure. So, after I take her grocery shopping with me, I take her to McD's so that she can have a Happy meal (which she eats two bites of, but likes the toy) and can play on the play structure. I usually get a coffee. If it is fresh brewed (which it usually is when I go) it isn't too bad. Of course, i drink so much coffee, if I was picky, I'd be broke.

Did buy some Starbucks Breakfast Blend yesterday (on sale at the store), and it really isn't too bad. I have a love/hate relationship with their coffee. Most of them I love, but there are some of them that I hate (especially for the price). Tea is a little easier to buy. There are better brands than others, but there isn't usually *that* big of a difference.

Okay, I may be wrong, but I think I've just been compared with Doreen's and Java's children. I'm actually a bit of a gourmet, and a snob, and extremely picky (I', picky for a living, in fact). But I just can't stay away from the fast food.

But seriously, I do think their coffee is actually good. The only way I like Starbucks, though, is if they brew it. Normally, my cheap self sticks to WaWa coffee if I'm not making it myself.

And how did the coffee discussion move to this thread, anyway?

Glen: Do you like Wawa's Dark Roast? I'm torn over the Caramel coffee they have out now. It can be a tad too sweet but I also found that itdepends on which store you go and get it from.

Greetings, Doreen and feline

I don't like coffee, and usually stay away from anything that tastes a bit like coffee .

I do love tea though and it has been one of the prime liquids I drink. Caffeine and Elffie don't go very well together.

If you want, ask UHRBid somewhere on the msgboard.... he'll probably tell you what I do when I'm loaded on caffeine ..

and sugar =D

I compensate for my lack of personality with caffeine. The jury's still out on whether or not it actually works

I have class at 8:30am tomorrow, and I'm not sleepie... well, just a bit, but... urgh. I don't wanna sleep....

dendillon... missed your question yesterday, sorry! Too much to scroll through here (we need Msgboard Chatroom Marathon II: The Revenge )

Anyway, haven't tried WaWa's dark roast; I'm actually afraid I'd get even more addicted. I usually go with hazelnut or the caramel (which is good when it's fresh, but I'm discovering that's hard to find lately). I know next week's gonna be rough for me, so I may be succumbing to the dark side..er, roast, at that point.

Elfkura, I usually only get around 5 to 6 hours of sleep a night.....you can get used to it if you try I go to sleep earlier, but get up earlier. Hence why I drink so much caffeine. i have had to *force* myself to be a morining person. I think that the days need to be longer.

Ok, as with yesterday, I have started the morning out with Coca Cola and tea. Today was: Oolong tea, Coke, and now I'm going to get some Jasmine tea. In the afterenoon (or after I drink my tea) I'll switch over to coffee from the good ol' company coffee pot.

Feline! Where are you! Did you fall asleep in a cave, or are you out chasing mint dragons again?

/me hands glen a copy of the atless

this is the chocolate planet map. most of the large sea shaped things are full of coffee.

its the easiest way of luring quality humans here the ones the chocolate doesnt get, the coffee does.

/me has a soft spot for coffee gatoe

any cake that is at least 30% cream is a good idea

JavaBrain - Feline! Where are you!

/me *hates* who ever decided to make this internet connection out of bits of swamp mist

it seems BT is no good at managing net connections. sort of leaves me wondering what they are good at

still, nice to feel wanted

Actually, I'd prefer the "atmore," if you've got it. (Sorry.) All you need to lure quality humans is chocolate and coffee? Man, if life were really only that simple... but, that's why there are message boards.

Running very low on caffeine today -- one mere cup of not-very-good coffee. It's gonna be a long afternoon....

GER (sorry, your name is too long) Quick! Jump in the "extra caffeine" coffee lake!

I keep Folgers "singles" around just in case. They are like a tea bag filled with coffee. Works great when you have hot water but no coffee/coffee maker.

I really wanted to go for a walk today...but it's raining out...bummer....
My not-very-good cup this morning was the cheapo "Eight O'Clock Coffee" equivalent of the Folgers singles. And I'll probably attack another one of those shortly (if I do that in my next brief respite from work instead of check on here again!)

Hmm... sunny here today. But probably too far for you to travel just to walk

TIVO? Why, oh why, a TIVO???? Now you can record and watch everything....the TV will rot your brain...oh, wait...nevermind..your brain has already decayed....
Java... Eight O'Clock coffee is decent, but they haven't gotten the coffee bag thing down. The Folgers ones are better. Thankfully, this morning I don't have to deal with either, as the brew is fresh. I accidentally added an extra scoop of grounds, which seems to have improved things. I'll be flying within an hour!

Frog... Y'know, I just noticed that TIVO's offering a "lifetime service" plan. You go with that or the monthly fee? Seems almost worth the lifetime thing (I'm a TV addict, yet forced to tape half the stuff I watch, since I'm never home during primetime!)

Oh, and yes, I knew an elephant can't jump. Which is probably a good thing, when you think about it.
