Closing out 2007 With a Bang

2007 is quickly drawing to a close, and wow what a year it's been!  The new WinCustomize, Vista, Dreams, SoundPackager, Xion, WindowBlinds 6, the Charity Drive, the Alienware Contest, and more spectacular skins than you can shake a stick at!

Around this time of year, a lot of sites start doing their "Best XYZ of 2007!" lists, and I thought maybe we could get in on the fun with a few of our own lists to mark the best work of the past year.

Nominate your:

  • Favorite Skinner
  • Favorite Skin from Library X

In order to nominate someone for consideration, post a comment below with who/what and for which category.  Nominate as many people/skins for as many categories as you like.  If you're not comfortable posting publicly, you can PM me via the forums... BUT if you're going to PM me you have to do it in a very clear format.  If you don't give me a nomination in this format, I will not count it.

Go ahead and nominate for any library you like.  However, if a library gets less than five items nominated, I won't be running a poll for it.

You have to get your nomination in by end-of-day Wednesday, December 12th.  We will start running polls over the weekend to determine the favorites, with the results posted before the new year.

Yes, Stardock Design skinners may be nominated for skinner of the year.  They just have to have a (free) skin released under their name at some point in 2007.

Whoa...now thats cruel...I built a shed out of that stuff....thats about all its good for. :LOL:

And no offense to Vstyler...he put out some great skins :CONGRAT: ...but there are others here that put out some awesome skins as well. NightTrain (don't sell yourself short ;) )...IRBrainiac (and if he had SliderXP done he would be hands down skinner of the year...maybe longer...in my book :CONGRAT: )...JJYing....Mike Bryant....TreeTog...just to name a few.

Honestly, I really hate these kind of nominations....to many people putting out great stuff and trying to grind them all down to one nomination is nearly impossible. I like skins for all different reasons myself and I couldn't honestly whittle it down to just one person. So good luck to everyone! Your all winners in my book! ;)

Vad_M is amazing, vstyler is too
But i think my favorite skinner of the year would be Zubaz, the things he puts out makes me just.. um.. whats the right word.....

Yep, way too many to adequately list.

Overall nominations for a general DesktopX Object/Widget/Gadget Skinner I'd say Vad_M & RomanDA.

My category picks are more specifically tools that I use almost daily

One skin I forgot about is the Intrigue suite by SKOriginals....that was one excellent skin and another skinner worthy of skinner of the year! ;)

I realize you all put out free skins as well. But then we might as well go by the stats as phoon suggested and not bother with any of this at all.

It would be all too ' predictable'

Im hoping that is will be like the GUI Champs last year that was totally unpredictable in the end.

Plus , everyone here had made something that is one of my favorites..it makes it hard to really choose any one person or skin.
