This individual is a frequent ripper who should have been removed months ago. Intollerable   

The only way to get Angelo's attention Fuzzy is to tax his pocket.If enough accounts get closed in quick succession he will take notice and act. I have seen it happen before. They offered me my seniorship back after they wrongfully removed it and I told them where it could be better placed.

Not sure but if DA conintues to harbor him then they could be setting themselves up for a potential lawsuit. Altering and posting that Picture of Starkers has caused emotional harm.... to me. Someones gonna pay!

Well, I suspect I will be banned within minutes now for making this post in the forums... As I said before, I really don't give a shit. There is no way that DA can be classified as a valued member of the skinning community after witnessing this.

Only one of the reported rips has been removed thus far.
This user continues to hide the comments of the original author and various other community members. He has also now obtained photographs of some of the reporters and displayed them in a slanderous aspect.

All the DA admins have done thus far is to protect this persons rights and not the rights of the original authors.

Guess what DA.. Your assenine forum admins and lack of action regarding this have now cost you at least 5 PAYING members. It's is also going to snowball from there as the artists that were ripped represent a major software developer and well respected members of the skinning community. Nice management choice on your part.

Feel free to wave your magic ban wand in my direction, I don't really care and have already removed my gallery.

They really protects their page from the truth but allows for thieves and villains to be on DA! I thought this is impossible in the civilized society...

CarGuy1 don't mean to throw a wet blanket all over you but I just went to DA, his home page is still up.   

I think this is going to take more than just members from this community leaving comments on his page and leaving notes for mods over there. It would appear the only way this is going to be cleared up is for a Stardock Rep to make an offical compliant to DA with action identified to be taken if this is not corrected. Wouldn't want to be on their side of the fence if that happens.

Just me two cents worth.

Ok.. it looks like all they have done is remove the reference to Stardock Design, and removed the SD Design rip. However, they still leave Boxxi's stuff up and continue to ignore our pleas.(sp)

We tried the approved channels and that was ignored.
We tried unorthodox and uncivilized methods and that is not working. Hey, if they choose to ignore their policy what else are people left with?

Why is it such a big thing anymore when someone actually stands up for their rights, and the rights of those they care about. All anyone is concerned with is " Oh.. somebody might get offended ".

A) FACT - there are assholes, idiots and imbeciles involved in the guise of DA administration. If I've referred to them in public by their true nature then so be it.

TRUTH - The thief is being coddled while the innocent victims are reaping the fruits of having their fine work displayed under false pretenses. They are taking faster actions to protect him than they are Boxxi.


It's nice to see that you made a choice to not support them as well. You cannot however, expect everyone to be as quiet about it. Sure, the DA members are going to do the same to us that we do to like people here. I expected that. However, these outbursts and posts may have an effect somewhere. You can bet that someone is silently reading them and saying.. hmmm... valid points...

It is in everyone's best interest for the customization sites to work together or at least get along.  Mob mentality won't accomplish that.
Polite dialog can be an investment in fixing the problem going forward.  Contacts can be made and called on later . . unless the perceptoin is that it's not wprth their time.

The facts are that the guy is a twit and a thief.  I believe that polite dialog now would have gotten the same results as have been achieved at the least.  It also would have the added benefit of giving the perception that the WC folks that are at dA are responsible, respectful, helpful folks.

The same people that are upset and and pulling their memberships could still do so.  If hitting dA in the wallet is the goal, it would still be accomplished.  If the forum posters wanted to be vocal and raise awareness of the problem, that could also be done politely and would likely be MORE effective than repeated spamming in a forum that has nothing to do with the problem (and was polite enough to say so early in the dialog).

The questions really are, "What is the goal?" and "What is the best way to accomplish those goals?"

What I think the goals should be (should have been):

1. Have the content removed content from dA
2. Have the user banned
3. Identify the process for reporting rips
4. Identify the time frame that a rip is acted on
   
5. Improve the process or reporting and acting on rips
6. Create a network where a WC admin might discourse with a dA admin (as an advocate for a WC member) to expedite a rip report.

I don't think anything that's been done in this thread or the one at dA has been directed towards those goals.
They may not have been yours and perhaps that's my misunderstanding.

Do you really think your methods accomplished what you set out for?  What *was* it that you set out to accomplish?
