I'm beginning to feel we (lowly peons) of the lower echelon are making very little progress in this matter and wonder if the addition of a stronger voice may achieve what we have so far failed to do.

I know that Jafo and Fuzzy have weighed in, but what if the big boss of Stardock, Brad himself added to the chorus of discontentment???

Brad, if you're following this unfortunate circumstance, it would be interesting to hear your views (and plan of action, if any...what you may have already done) regarding this matter, given that a Stardock Design skin (Solarion) has been ripped as well.



Huh!!! I'm older than you...and I wanna seniors card that gets me cheaper utilities, bus fares and in 'that' seniors section, as well.

DA Has always been a craphole if you ask me. People continiously rip and repost others work as their own. Whats even worse is DA takes their time with removing the rips and or user accounts. Not to mention that they don't IP ban due to bad experiences with past IP bans(they did it once and numerious people with the same IP got banned). So people can come right back and keep reposting the ripped work.

I had a friend get his SCREENSHOTS ripped. The guy would modify the chat windows in them to blur out names and resubmit them. How sad is that? Oh might I add it took the staff a week to remove him.

Well, this time their inaction has cost them at least $20. Not like they will miss it, but it's a start. If more of us vote with our wallets it may help them with an attitude adjustment.

The longer this goes on, the more it seems like the inaction is a deliberate taunt! Was confrontation with Stardock was the desired result all along????

DA has closed ranks and shut up shop to complaints from mere members, artists and etc ...so the question begs, why, what are they waiting for??? Brad to weigh in???

Seems to me, that if a ripper was removed in a much shorter period a week or two ago, then the same could have been done this time around. What's the only real difference this time - a Stardock skin is ripped!! Is that relevant in the greater scheme of things???

Yeah, I know....another conspiracy theory (and starkers needs to get a life ) but my over-active imagination hasn't been fed its meds today - and I'm going stir crazy from a lack of sleep...had a total of about 10 hours since Tuesday of last week.

My suggestion is to close all your DA accounts and cease supporting DA...they clearly are not worthy of support. If Wincustomize keeps its integrity and keeps up its copyright policy support then in the long run Wincustomize will come out the winner and will likely gain greater membership. Artists are sick to the teeth with people who think they can use other peoples work as they like. Many artists such as myself make a living from art. It is no laughing matter when some pinhead decides to elevate his status with another artists work claiming it as his/her own. And just because other people do it is no excuse. Copyright laws are there for a reason....to protect us and our work and our financial gain for our artistic abilities.  

I see the "i need a cs3 crack" post is still open over there...

       I can remember when threads like that got you an instant ban over there......my how times change. It is likely because it is now run by Pirates!

I put: "Do you think the longer you keep these stolen works up, the more they'll become yours? Not in your lifetime!!" Five minutes later it was hidden.

Never mind, there's 3 other page fulls.

NEWS FLASH!! his comment area has just been made off limits to mrs starkers....access denied. I guess I'm next....followed closely by anyone else who happens to call him a thief.

This is a joke!!!! Now he's posting derogatory pictures of people who call him a ripper, and WE get threatened by DA staff for harassing him!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

So, to clarify..... DeviantArt is more concerned about people harassing a ripper than they are about the arists getting ripped!!! WAY TO GO D.A. !!!!

I will not submit anything else to that site until their policy changes, and they can demonstrate that they can deal with these matters in an efficient way.

They are an absolute disgrace to the skinning and graphics community!!

Yeah, we know....she is in the process of pulling all her stuff off DA, once that is done neither of us will be going back there.

hes banned me and the rest from commenting on his stuff and removed all comments saying hes a ripper etc..not to mention hes parading around AS Stardock Designs claiming he made the stuff...

May be I'm stupid but I have one little question: how I can post my comment on the MRKacau's page? I want to say a several "friendly" and "hot" words for this idiot.    Over and over I tried to make this but I couldn't understand how work this service...

May be I need to become a DA subscriber? If yes I'll reject this idea. This place will never get nor one cent from me...
