Hahahahahaha! Way to go Boxxi! Too many people think they can take someone elses work and do what they want with it. Make bootskins from someone elses work etc. If it is not yours then do not use it without permission. It is not a difficult thing for people to grasp. I guess what irks me most is the egotistical attitude that says they do not even have to ask the owner. If the shoe were on the other foot they would bleat the house down and generally when they get sprung and cop the consequences they howl self righteous indignation! You have worked hard Boxxi and you inspired me way back in 2001....keep up the good work!

It's often tempting to get all feral/ballistic on someone seen as a bit of a twit/idiot/slime ...but stooping to 'their' level only reflects poorly on the 'stooper'.

If people then signpost themselves as being/having come from a particular website it can also reflect poorly on that site.

One thing that Wincustomize.com has in common with Deviantart.com is a similar order of magnitude of members, etc....which can make their management a little unweildy at times.

Best thing is to post  'complaint'....wait a while...see if it's resolved....then maybe post a reminder.

Anything more is probably going a little OTT ...

At this point Jafo, I can honestly say I don't give a shit if they spank me for spamming his comment section. I wouldn't lose a moment of sleep if DA bans me. I'd rather not be part of a community that so openly support ripping, despite their so called policies.

They have known about this for over 24 hours now and I would have expected a better reaction. I have put a message on the forum over at DA to see if a Mod is working and can deal with it.

And the rest...the missus lodged a complaint at least 4 days ago, and I think BoXXi reported the rips before that, even.

This is the third ripper mrs starkers has reported over at DA in the last month or so, with the previous two taking over a week to remove, so how long does it take?

Errr, let me rephrase that! In cases of blatant art theft, it shouldn't take this long.

and no, I don't swallow: "It's the weekend...and" etc! This was reported WELL in advance of that, the rips are blatantly obvious and should have been taken down prior to this....as of 5 mins ago they were still up.

And yes, I spammed the comment section AGAIN....if only to have him report that he's being harassed, thus bringing the attention of DA management to something which to date seems to have been ignored....and on more than one occasion.

That was a bit naughty of me and it appears the very polite post that I wrote on there forum got removed.........as I expected it to, but I hoped it just might bring someone out to deal with this delightful character

I think it might be a good idea that everyone put their name on the screenshot that they upload, it would cut down on the ripping a bit...at least they wouldnt be able to USE the screenshot when they rip it. It's sad that this happens, and we shouldnt HAVE to do that, but there's always going to be jerks out there that do this crap.

You'd need to put your name over most of the screenshot in order to make it not worth someones time to just photoshop it out...plus, if someone has the skin, they can just make their own screenshot, no problem there. You will never completely stop folks from doing this sort of thing, but the good members of the community can always do their part by reporting violations and standing together against evil and tyranny (ok, that was a bit much wasn't it   )

He's being hammered by folks now, and it's only a matter of time before the good folks at DA delete his digital DA existence.

Well! The little twerp hasn't complied with requests to take down the rips...and when DA is taking it goddam sweet time, tempers are naturally gonna flare over an issue so passionate.
