Pope Meets Priest Accused of Anti-Jewish Remark

From the Associated press, Another "CHRISTIAN'' SHOWING some true colors.

This is why I have little or almost no respect for Christians in general.

ROME — Pope Benedict XVI met this week with a Polish priest who has been accused of making anti-Jewish comments. Photos showing the pope at his summer residence with, Father Tadeusz Rydzyk along with two other Polish priests, were published in Polish newspapers yesterday.

The Vatican has not commented on the meeting. But a Vatican official confirmed yesterday that the three were brought to the pope, along with other pilgrims, after the pontiff's weekly public blessing Sunday in Castel Gandolfo, his summer home. Father Rydzyk was allegedly caught on tape saying Jews are greedy and that President Kaczynski of Poland is subservient to Jewish lobbyists.


Nothing like a Catholic priest perpetuating the fallacy that all JEWS are Greedy. Yay Christians! Once again caught with their pants down, oops no that is another story. Shows you that in their hearts they still blame the JEWS for killing another JEW called Jesus, so much for forgiveness huh?

It is sad that ANYONE would say any kind of generalization towards any group of people. I don't know of a group of people that have more of a record of 'starting over' than the Jewish people.

MM, all I'm saying is that what one person says does not represent the whole group, no more than that guy sayings all Jews are greedy is right. You just came right back and said Christians have lost your respect.

of course you are absolutely right, but I have run into to many "Christians' with this same attitude, remember it took the Church {Roman Catholic} almost 2,000 years to 'forgive the Jews' To many times I have been told I am going to hell because I will not accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior, Been told my Father is already burning in hell because he died as a JEW, same with my Mother and Sister, This attitude of being so fucking sure your way is the only way is what gets to me.

How DARE anyone tell me, my Father, My mother and sister are burning in hell because they died as a JEW and not a Christian Then to once again be reminded what Christians really think about we Jews, well, that just pushes me a little to far.

Remember, it took the church LEADERS 2,000 years to forgive the Jews. I'm sure there were a couple people in the congregation that forgave you guys in 1,900 years.

As for the rest of your claims against Christians, we feel that way about ALL non-Christian groups, and some feel that way about 'Christian' groups that they don't really think are Christians. Not just the Jews.

But, it's the truth. Nothing but the absolute truth of Jesus Christ could make me subscribe to a belief where they are not even the chosen people. The Jewish people are. I am not Jewish. I want to be part of the chosen nation. But I'm not. So it makes me sad to see you, who is part of that chosen nation, not believe in the truth of Jesus Christ.

Most Christians I have met DO NOT LIVE by what would Jesus do, they give it a whole lot of lip sevice, all talk, little action.

That's what really gets me, they worship a JEW, but seem to have nothing but scorn for JEWS, I am trying to remember that commandment, what does it say about "thou shall have NO OTHER GODS before me" SOMETHING like that.

Poland and Russia were not very pleasant places for us during the last couple hundred years. My hope is that things are getting better. Thank you for the link to Aish.com. (I think it was Adventure Dude who posted it) I enjoyed exploring it today. For some reason, the rabbis in the Middle Ages decided that for Gentiles worshipping Jesus was not idolatry. I recall a discussion of this at synagogue sometime ago and was surprised. I think it may have been a survival ploy, myself.

actually Jesus lived the way he wanted to. if the Torah agreed with the way he lived that is how he lived. point of fact when he was hungry he would go out and pick fruit on the sabbath. if people needed healed he healed them when he wanted to even if it was on the sabbath. according to the Torah you do not work on the sabbath for any reason.

You see Danielost, Jews understand the difference between the Talmud (the written form of the Oral Law), Mishnah and Midrashim (Rabbinical Writings), Torah. You my friend may have them confused. There is no scripture in Torah that states you cannot heal on the Sabbath. This "no healing on the Sabbath" comes from the Oral Laws. ok whatever all i know is he healed and the people in charge were upset because he did it on the sabbath. which ever day that is.

While I have given ears to this for many years now, and have even run across some for real Christians, those that live as Jesus did, they are a rare find and the exception, not the rule.
