Thanks for the new addons.

I believe that military starbases are mostly ignored by most players. I have only used it once, and it was ignored by my enemy. Stardock needs to nerf this mechanic to make it useful. I'll note the following issues... 1. Military starbase enhancements come too late in the tech tree to be really useful. By the time you get to them, battle fleets are more better. 2. They should have more attack & defense abilities than regular starbases. 3
I prefer to explore the galaxy, in the early game, with constructors. They are faster than scouts and, as soon as they find a 'resource,' can immediately start mining it. This has the additional advantage of expanding the players range of influence/sight. As was mentioned, there are no official borders. The galaxy is a big place. What seems small on our game maps can represent hundreds of light years across.
I hope someone will create a minor race of sentient cows as a nod to Moo.
For me, the battle summary window often shows one less 'ship destroyed' icon than the text info -and the text info is the correct one. The missing 'ship destroyed' icon has been a bug for quite a while.
I think that this is clearly an area that Stardock needs to revisit in the future, possibly in a variety of ways.
I think the ideal use for the home planet is to start off as a manufacturing planet. Ultimately, I plan to make it a manufacturing/military planet - which is to say that all the military ' hyperion ' buildings will go there as well to gain the maximum value in terms of bonuses & usefulness. That way, all the ships built on my home planet will have all the hyperion advantages. With the hyperion tiles, the adjacency bonuses are impo
I agree with all of the above.
I agree with you completely. Let's hope the Devs fix this after 1.1.
Thanks! ..ofcourse i can ask questions here. Yes, this game is under development and the manual is not giving the actual game state Always labourious to learn something for this..trial and error a bad learning strategy, but unavoidable as it seems. Becomes a annoyance, when the developer has not all documented, what is the case for my 1000 $ composer program..in the end i don't know yet&nb
@Ambermonk Thanks for the comment on the Wiki ship parts. It took me quite a while to do it and I wondered if it was useful.
If you're the one who created that entry, my hat is off to you. When I played GC2 I had a binder filled with that exact type of data, and that was my bible for designing space ships. I wondered more than once if the same data would be available for GC3. Thanks to you, it
Thank you! My ship icons were too small for me to see, so I didn't notice them in the right-hand panel at the bottom left.
Don't you have the ability to zoom the screen in? I thought everyone could do that.
Click on the fleet in question. After selecting it, in the lower left corner you will see the ship icons of all ships in the fleet. When you select one or more of these icons, you will see a list of options just to the right of the icons. One of those options will be 'eject.' Good luck with your gaming.
I understand your point, but what would you suggest? after all, this is still just a game. If all of these improvements would apply to the entire race, two problems would immediately arise. 1. All 5 (or more) opponents in the game would also have these race-wide upgrades and could quickly use them to exterminate you. How would you like to face 5 opponents who all had the race-wide improvements that you described? 2. This interesting game element w
janhardo should probably be playing a different game. This one is not for him. I can understand a mild complaint about the manual, but I am not too bothered by it, for several reasons... 1. I'm aware of the usefulness of the Forum. 2. I've read many parts of the GC3 Wiki (i.e., look at the section on just ship parts. It's excellent) 3. I've got the maturity to try to figure out things for myself (as I said, this is
Brad, I hope you & Paul will learn a lot from reading all these posts, and try to determine why these things weren't in the original design. After 1.1, you two can also check out the mods site to see what other people think should be in the game but isn't. That said, thanks for giving us the opportunity to help you make the game better. I've already seen a lot of very good ideas here (and a few flaky ones). Here are my 5 wish items... 1. <
janhardo , you sound like a newbie. Are you? That would explain a lot. For the moment, I'll assume you are. The key to getting new ship-types is Research . The first step is to research the parts that you want your future ship to have (i.e., drives, weapons, defenses, range, support

Let's hope the Devs will address the game-score issues.
As another poster mentioned, It's one thing to set up a galaxy that is extremely weak against your play style (and then brag about it), but it is another thing to set-up a galaxy to be strong against your play-style, and post a turn-by-turn YouTube 'Let's Play' video explaining your strategy for overcoming the difficulties - all the way to the end of the game (with a Power Score & a Game Score).
Nice job Mumm. I'd like to see you do the same treatment for Doctor Who's Daleks and Cybermen, and perhaps others. Doctor Who is very popular. I'd also like to see the same treatment for the evil empire on Blake's 7, with Servalan as the leader. For a retro look, it might be interesting to see a package for the old 'Flash Gordon' serial starring Buster Crabb. They had the most campy space ships.
Quoting Ambermonk, reply 91 Marigoldran, stop beating around the bush. Either post the link to your 'let's Play,' or shut up. You can't have it both ways. He did <a href="https://forums.galciv
Good luck. I know a lot of other people, including myself, are with you on this. I believe that the scoring for these games is unfortunately skewed towards quick games rather than 'accomplishment' games. The most interesting & fun games that you play, where you had to struggle & claw & maneuver your way to the top of the leaderboard, are not scored very highly is GC3. I think the scoring parameters need to be drastically revised - but I'
