Been playing with SkinBrowser for a couple weeks and thought I would make my feelings known on a few issues. Note that I really DO like the program overall, and I understand it's still beta, but I offer the following as constructive criticism. Script Errors: I'm getting script errors all over the place in the browser. For example, at WinCustomize, I get a "Line: 2, Char: 7, Error: Invalid character" on every page. I get other errors on other sites, such as Yahoo. I have scr

That's what I thought, MichaelO. I rarely have that problem, but some people are more paranoid than others.
Not too popular, apparently. A few months ago it was moved from expanded basic to digital here, because of horrible ratings (or so they said). And Vegas is usually ahead of the technological curve, in terms of per capita usage. OTOH, I'm sure it *is* popular with people most likely to use this type of site anyway. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Power
Do you think the static electricity risk warrants getting one of those wrist thingies? I've never used them before when upgrading hardware, but I've never done anything this extensive before, either. Thanks.
Gold screws? Do those come with the case or motherboard?
Steve Gibson over at GRC always has his appearances online for viewing, but I'm not sure if he captures them himself or gets them from TechTV (and ZDTV before them).
I'd worry about Apple lawyers before I'd worry about Paramount lawyers, but since it doesn't come with either theme, I doubt if it's a problem.
Thanks again, but I've already been researching that site.
Thanks for the input, MichaelO. I'm probably at least a month away, so you're not too late. In fact, that just might be perfect timing, from what you say about Intel's forthcoming annoucement.
Great job, Brad! I especially liked the Star Trek desktop demo.
Great job, Brad! That Star Trek desktop was a great demo.
It's on TechTV, Buzz_Hog. http://www.techtv.com/techtv/
You think it's tough here; try getting a decent Yahoo email address!

Classic rockers know why I chose my name.
And say hi to Morgan and Megan for me.
That's amazing that I didn't even notice that, T-Man. (It's a direct cut and paste from their website.) I guess I haven't quite woken up yet.
I've never noticed it build on startup, but again, occasionally when my rather slow system with a PCI video card is really maxed out, I will lose the skins briefly. YMMV.
Entilza - Some say they've already crossed the line, with the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).
And this came in today's Call For Help daily email: A Note From Chris I had a truly awesome dinner (and parallel discussion) with Brad Wardell from Stardock this evening. Dude is totally cool - and very level-headed. His company is working on some supremely sweet stuff, but don't expect me to give you any specifics (because we have one of those non-disclosure agreement thingies). Let me put it this way: you ain't seen nothin' yet (and you know I don't say that about every p
Would you like some lemon with that red herring?
I hope nobody's forgotten Dr. Katz.
No, the sickest joke is Web-TV.
You can lose your skin if your system is really taxed, though. On a slow system like mine, occasionally the classic window will show through. Perhaps that's what he's talking about. That's certainly not enough to make me stop using WB, though. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
