I think a lottery for any one of the million users would be better.
Would love the campaign to be presented through the sandbox* at our own leisurely pace! *So one and same...maybe have a check box to activate or de-active the story related events/quests. I want to build a wall circling the whole continent!
Yes it will, Peace.
Great stuff. Can't wait for your Elemental beta, think it will be a lot calmer!
I agree with you about the leadership skill. It's something we'll have to play with during the beta. Hope you all pre-ordered.
Nope, sadly your payment options are rather limited for me atm and my alternative (PayPal) can't be used until you start charging, which I guess will be when beta opens. [e digicons]:D[/e] Bear with me.
THOUSANDS! I love big stuff.
Perhaps if their initial differences continue to remain pronounced as they level up.
Yes, I'm for giving us the option to disable all movies once we've gone through them once. Just like in Space Rangers 2.
These are just ideas and suggestions, of course. A Demigod inspired by Monkey King! (Hanuman or Sun Wukong, either is fine!) A Demigod inspired by THE FLY! (Basically an insect design, something as scary looking as UB)
The wards should be targettable.
I don't agree with ending every match mode on citadel destruction. Although I remember a setting that has the game continuing if citadel does get destroyed. It should be defaulted to that in the different game modes.
Here is what I got. It was in a slaughter game, on the final kill it happened. It will be real people and players will have rankings so when players go into pantheon they will be matched up in relation to their ranks. So you may have a 2v2 of similarly ranked players or a 1v2 in which the single player is a significantly higher in the rankings. AI are in to help with beta testing. So we can't constantly waiting for players we can still get games going and see how the game is going. Also helps to check the AI itself since it will need to be strong in Single Playe
I have to put the AI's attack priorities into question: Minions will move away from the target you designated to attack and focus on others before finishing off the original target. This is same for the Demigods, in my experience, as well. After a few auto-attacks against a Demigod target, s/he will switch to a creep/minion that is nearby, without any real reason to. The Demigod is still in range, hasn't made itself immune* or anything. Because of this, it has now sort of beco
It would go better if I wasn't just watching a wall. The script sorta made me cringe and felt rather long winded. It's feels to me a want to get the story out of the way in one big go so there would be no interruption until the ascension video.
In Demigod, you can boss around the AI players on your team in single player which is nice. You just ping the map and the AI players will tend to come help you.
This would be nice in MP too. Not everyone will be using voice chat and typing mid-battle can be a pain.
Some penalties as an after effect of just having warped at the speed of light. Maybe a few seconds of receiving extra damage, or decreased speed.
AI should be in. But we need a way to communicate some basic instructions/commands to them. Like asking for help, follow requests, etc. Like the beacons usually found in some RTS games.
TA has posted what we talked about in IRC yesterday. Oak's ward shows health, that means it can encourage a tactic now to try and destroy his wards before enough spirits are summoned. It will atleast help slow down the near infinite respawning of them later on. I think the fact it begins with health in the first place, this was probably in the dev's mind. Makes sense since Oak can summon several later on, which he'd be encouraged to spread out.
Hmm, perhaps because of 64-bit? Can't imagine why though. It didn't take over a minute for me and I'm same processor, half the RAM and on 32bit. (With 9600 OC)
Still want dedicated servers here, demigod does have a perpetual mode doesn't it? :P Anyway, thanks for the flurry of info!
I think since they are special minions they shouldn't benefit from the item boosts. Morale is enough for them.
Melee units should not be chasing angels and other aerial units. They are hopelessly swinging away and chasing them as they follow the angel's flying pattern. Ranged units should probably prioritise their attacks on them, instead.
After having several games with the not so clever AI I have a request. Ping beacons (typical for RTS) - or something similar. A method to communicate some basic requests to the AI demigods, such as "Defend here" or "Attack my target". Something to offer some co-ordination and team work that is so lacking when playing with the AI. Edit: I've been made aware the Single player has this feature. It would also be great for multi-player games
