hey, hey, hey...i was just asking. you can turn them off if you don't like them. i don't use them as i have turned off their controls, but i don't mind the little cat hanging around the screen now and then. looking at a monitor all day is not fun, so i prefer to have something different now and then. meow.

because this site is devoted to customizing our computing experience, i'm wondering if anyone knows if, and where, i can find additional assistants for microsoft's programs, ie, outlook, word, etc.? clippy, or whatever his name is, is old, the cat is cute, but i'm bored again. i've found the agents, but prefer not to use them and instead would just like the simple little assistants. any ideas are appreciated. thanks much.

yep, it was silly to load the public one first. not sure why i did. anyway, i uninstalled it, then installed the enhanced one. oh well. i'll try again. thanks.

got a new computer. loaded up the public version of windowblinds. skins look good, but i wanted to load up my enhanced version that i paid for. the file says that it's windowblinds44enhanced . the enhanced version looks horrible compared to the public version. any idea why? is there a way to update my enhanced version or do i have to buy it again? that is, if there's another build. thanks.

yep, done that before. nothing has changed with them. to explain further...they don't become inactive, the area that they are in is of a size as if 4 or 5 icons are showing, but they're not showing. i try to expand it to show all icons, and nothing shows. when i switch skins to the one i had, they show just fine. just so you know, when i load a new skin, i don't change any settings, i just let it load and then see how it looks. thanks for all your suggestions so far. <img src="h

hmmm. then why were they showing using another skin, and then "disappear" after loading up 'skies'? thanks. and, if it's a windows property thing, where do i go to look into those settings?

i just downloaded the "skies" skin. it's absolutely beautiful, but the buttons becoming invisible is frustrating. perhaps it's just me. it's happened on a couple other skins in the past, but can't remember which ones. just to be clear, the quick launch buttons are fine, but the running programs are not showing, ie, the volume control, local area connection, outlook, etc. thanks.

with some skins...why is it that the taskbar buttons/icons disappear? they're not hidden, they're just invisible. i make some basic setting changes, but when i'm able to get them to show, other graphics within the skin are altered and not as nice as intended. thanks.

just installed icon packager after trying the trial. now only a few of the icon packages i have downloaded work. the ones i used to like don''t install and revert the system back to basic icons. bummer. any ideas? thanks.

Hi. I have Cursor XP and enjoy the creations people have submitted to the site for us to use. I'm wondering if I can apply one of the cursors to other applications? For example, I like the animated cursor for "working in background" and would like to use it for "busy". Can I do this or do I have to just go with what was created? Thanks.
