Maybe all of us should act like MOM was really bad so that Stardock can get it easier.
Gunner
Its definitly true that they have different AI's for each civilization. Everyone seems to have noticed the dregnin's behavior. Thats one example. Another is that the Torians never really build transports effectively and conquer many planets, even if they are a superpower. All of the AIs have different things like this.
I would like to make it so that non-ranged units are about as useful as the really good ranged ones like slingers and longbowmen. I mean, there is no reason to include anything but heroes and ranged units in your army usually.
1. Halut Pack 2.0 by Icho Tolot 2. Agriculturalist Party by Kryo 3. Omega Pack by Icho Tolot
Yeah, I found sound. You need the program on this lin The program is great, I figured it out in about five minutes. http://ntvdm.cjb.net/
Hey, thanks for the info. I just downloaded MOM, and its kinda difficult choosing things when there is no info provided in game. Also, do you know any way to get the sound to work with XP?
Many of the things in the original manual were deleted from the original game. But, most of that stuff (like the parties) were added with the bonus pack and patches. My advice would be to make sure the patches went through properly or maybe reinstall them.
Hey, I just tried out the original MOM, and now I'm hooked. Because of this I will most definitly pre-order it. I had said Maybe before.
Need that spice! :d
Hey, I tried just submitting the game and it worked, so sorry for the trouble. I thought that since Mapleleafs was having trouble there was something special you were supposed to do.
Yeah, I agree with iCapn, galciv really needs something for planets to do if one of the production queues isn't, can't, or does't want to build anymore. There should either be something like capitalism from civ. Having excess production just swith queues would kinda defeat the purpose of the empire wide production sliders though.
I tried that, the drengin.net convert, yet it said the registration was invalid.
The United Planets screen from the foreign policy screen (the one with the pie chart) is messed up because it doesn't have places for the Drath and Korx. Also, the window below the chart that is supposed to show current laws instead says the percentage for one of the civiliztions that got knocked off.
I think you would just lose your leader's benefits and parties benefits if you (the player) lost an election. But since it is still a game, the player would keep things actually running. By the way, who ever said there was real democracy in space games? ;)
Alright, I have a two questions. First, when would MOM2 come out? Secondly, when is Galciv 2 coming out?
Wow, what is this with changing keys? I am about to submit my first AP game. Is the registration on SDC enough, or do you have do change something on galciv.com?
I really like the idea of having different leaders with different traits. It could be kinda like EU2 with the leaders having traits and abilities. Not so much the player changing party as the game progresses though.
Am I just an idoit, or am I the only person that can't seem to either scroll or zoom the map editor?
Hey, this isn't really about the campaign, rather just the whole expansion. The United Planets screen from the foreign policy screen (the one with the pie chart) is messed up because it doesn't have places for the Drath and Korx. Also, the window below the chart that is supposed to show current laws instead says the percentage for one of the civiliztions that got knocked off.
Yep, count me in on the good team.
After reading the other forum on this subject, I think I would fill that mediocre role to make everyone else's life a little harder very well. Probably fedralists if no diplomacy, and I usually play good.
I would like to play, yet some of the conditions you set might be a bit too much for me. :SURPRISED:No alpha strikes or tech trade!! :SURPRISED:
I'll play, I can do all difficulties usually. Maso can be harder if theres a war going on or if there are too many planets.
First, fleets don't really function in this game, they are just for movement. If you want to group them just press the group button. Or just press the break button to break them. Seems intuitive to me. The movement is listed for the fleet after they have been grouped and moved once. For the jumping, I'm not really sure what you are talking about, but you could set it so that you follow enemy ships when they move. The full version provides links and descriptions for all of the t
I don't know about you, but the Halutian Embassy seemed to take forever to build. Wonders were taking me between 6 to 12 turns, yet the embassy (just an achivement) was 24!
