Difference in Manuals and my CD

I recently bought the game of Galactic Civilizations. My question is that my game does not have all the political parties or other start-up options as listed in my manual. I have downloaded the patch. but it didn't have anything to help me. I have only 6 political parties. I also do not have all the other options for bonus, ie: speed etc. can some one please assist me.

Bump. Any ideas anyone. Sounds like the game did not install everything correctly.

Many of the things in the original manual were deleted from the original game. But, most of that stuff (like the parties) were added with the bonus pack and patches.

My advice would be to make sure the patches went through properly or maybe reinstall them.
