I just purchased ObjectDock Plus. I downloaded a number of themes and extracted them to the themes folder in ObjectDock. My problem is when I go to change a theme in ObjectDock the ones I downloaded do not show up in the list. I have no idea what happened to them. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone clue me in how to install themes, docklets, etc., for this program? Thanks!

I have used the widget "Digital Clear" for the last month. All of a sudden, yesterday, it disappeared from my screen. Task Manager showed that it was running but it did not show on the screen. I tried resetting the opacity but no luck. I even deleted it and downloaded and installed it, but no luck. I went so far as to restore my Win XP home edition to a date before it disappeared but still it does not show up. Anyone know how to fix this? Other widgets

My problem is now solved. My first try that failed, was when I tried to download Microsofts Antispyware program. Today I went to Windows Update and completed the process without any problems. It downloaded a small file to my computer that, after installation, authenticated my copy of XP without any input from me. Must of been some sort of glitch at the AntiSpyware site. <img src="http://images.stardock.

You got to love this community. Start out with one thing and end up....who knows where! You have a question and get help and some humor to boot! As to ever having problems with Stardock programs, I can say that since my September of 1999 subscription, with Component Manager and Object Desktop Network, I have had very few problems, but the ones I have had were all addr

Way to go Karma Girl! As a man I can attest to doing some really stupid things that messed up my computer. If it was not for my wife, who taught me how to operate the computer and its associated software, and help to get me out of my problems I created, I would not be able to respond here today!!!!!!!! <img src="http:

Fuzzy Logic: As far as I know Stardock does not ever send, under any circumstances, an email requesting you to verify your account. What they will send, upon request, is your Stardock.net account information and serial numbers for the products you have purchased. I think this is what you meant to convey. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/

All the suggestions here would be nice to have in Longhorn. Unfortunately, at the rate Microsoft is removing features that were previously slated to be in the OS, I am afraid all we will end up with is the equivalent of Windows XP SP3.

Windowblinds may be at fault. Trying going into the Windowblinds configuration, click on "per application" then click on "add per application setting". In the next window find the .exe file for the application that you are having problems with and click the open button. This will tell Windowblinds not to skin that application. Hopefully this will solve your problem. It has worked for several programs on my computer. <a href="../resource

Use plain English! What I mean by that is I would love to see a pop-up that tells me in plain language what happened and what went wrong instead of the stupifying, coded blather that pops up now that even the best computer geek is at a loss as what it is trying to say. This would make the system sooooo much more user friendly! <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted v

There is a program available from pcmagazine.com called "Startup Cop" that allows you to disable, rather than delete, programs that start when you boot. This allows you to enable them if you find that they are needed. It also gives a description of each file and what program on your computer it is connected to. It works great and is easier to use than what comes with XP. Another thing that could help is deleting all the files in your "Prefetch" folder.

It probably did not work because you "instaled" it from a Windows 2000 administrator account. If you had "installed" it from this account it may have worked. You should check YOUR own spelling before you cast stones upon others. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via Win

Frogboy: I was going to try as you suggest but found that on my pc Object Desktop is not in the Stardock folder, it is in a folder all to itself (c:\program files\object desktop\desktopx). I only mention this in case it might be my problem i.e. that destopx 2.40 is looking for desktopx.exe in the stardock folder instead of where it is in the object desktop folder. Could this be it? If so, how do I point it to the right folder? If you do not think it is

CaPet: As far as I know you can only roll back to version 2.3 if you archived it in Stardock Central before you downloaded any updates. If you did archive it then all you have to do is click on "file" in SC and then click on "restore archive" from the drop down list. A new window will pop open with a listing of all the programs that have been archived. Just select 2.3 and restore. <img src="http://image
