This might be out in left field, but did you download WB5 through SDC? I ask this as I had a problem similar to yours with the first beta release. It was only until I made sure I had the latest version of Stardock Central that I finally got WB5 to work.

I loved the tv show as well. But when it comes to cheap looking science fiction nothing beat the Daleks in Dr. Who! Having a toilet plunger for an arm brought cheap to new heights! LOL
By the way, as I did not download from SDC it does not show that I even have OD. Hope this is the info you need.
I bought OD+ on October 01, 2005 from Stardocks website. I downloaded the program from the download short cut given to me in the email sent to me the same day.
My about dialog says that it is 1.20.522u Plus..Build 522u.
I am an Object Desktop and Wincustomise subscriber. Have been for quite awhile. I am not one of those who visit 20 plus times a day as I do not have the time. I do visit several times a day to peruse the forums, read the news, check to see what new skins there are, and on occasion, when I have a problem, post to one of the forums. I never make comments concerning skins, either pro or con, as I feel that in either case it is my own personal tastes and b
And a great tutorial it is! Until I read Corky O's tutorial I was banging my head against the wall. A link should be offered in ObjectDock for all users!
I agree with all the changes. It is necessary as pointed out in a well thought out plan. Forgive me if I come across as sounding stupid, I am an OD subscriber as well as a WC subscriber, but what is a WC Platinum subscriber? Is that me, or did I miss something somewhere?
for Stardock support and Milksama! If you don't believe that support by Stardock is suberb, buy a Symantec/Norton product and see what kind of support you get!
I have a suggestion concerning ObjectDock Plus. It would be really neat if you were able to make your docks into a cirlce or semi-circle like the Object Desktop Launch Pad.
PS: I am using the latest version of WB5 beta on Windows XP Home SP2.
Milksama: I am having no problems with WB5 but I just wanted to know where the "install from disk" option is on WB5 as I do not see it anywhere on mine.
Another note: I do not use Firefox because I am afraid to use IE6, but because once you use tabbed browsing, you will never want to be without it!
I use Firefox 99.9 percent of the time. I use IE6 only in those rare times when I run across a site that needs it. For email, I use Outlook Express as it suits my needs and because my ISP scans my email for spam before it reaches me. If my ISP did not do that, then I would be using Thunderbird. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock C
Well, if the Cards make it they will no doubt stick with tradition and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
I am using WB5 and solved this problem by clicking the refresh button in Windows blind. After I did that I have had no problems.
Before you un-instal 4.6 go to stardocks web site and download SDC from there. I had the same problem you describe, my SDC even said it was the latest version, but until I downloaded SDC from the web site I could not solve the problem you now, and I had. It is worth a try.
Thanks GreenReaper and rabidrobot for the information and help!
I have WB5 successfully installed and running on my computer. One thing that I noticed is that the icon for WB5 is missing from the lower right corner of my screen. Excuse my ignorance, I do not know if this area is called the system tray or task tray, but with all previous versions I had an icon there that I could access the program from. With WB5 I have to right click the screen and select properties and access the program through the appearance tab.
I have finally successfully downloaded and installed WB5! On a whim, even though my SDC said it was version 2.10.344, build 95, I went to Stardocks website and downloaded and installed SDC from there. It worked and I now have WB5! Just wanted to pass this along as it maybe the solution for others. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardoc
Kosati, I have version 2.10.344, build 95 installed and still have the problem.
Ok. I work second shift and just got back home. I tried again. This time it downloaded and extracted and installed WB5. Then it went into removing temporary files and at 90 percent of doing thie SC shut down. So, I went ahead and rebooted anyway as I read you had to do this. After reboot, WB5 does not load, and when I do it manually it does not apply any of the skins I have. I checked trouble shoot and get this message: WindowBlinds 5 BETA T
I have not seen this problem I am having posted. I have attempted several times to download and extract WB5 through Stardock Centratl. It downloads okay but during extraction/installation when it reaches 99 percent complete Stardock Central shuts down totally. When I restart it, it asks if I want to update to WB5. I click yes, and it begins to extract and install the files already downloaded, reaches 99 percent complete and SC shuts down. Anyone have a
I found out about it through an email from a friend who uses NextStart and compared a dock in it with a program called ObjectDock. Well, I, as an Object Desktop and Wincustomize subscriber must of been blind not to have known about it. So, I tried the free version and bought the plus version just the other day! <img s
Thanks so much Corky O! Your tutorial was just the help that I needed.
