Just wondering if you actually get it working as a screensaver apart from that cosmetic bug ? Mine puts a Deskscapes screensaver into the screen saver selection/config panel area with all my other collected screensavers but when I try to preview it nothing happens. All my other screensavers work fine but not Deskscapes.
Hi Tibor - just let you know that I run Fences on my Windows 11 Pro and it never crashes on me. Here's a couple of suggestions to try and hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can jump in too. Could be a software conflict somewhere in your setup and unfortunately this often means a process of trial and error until you find the offending software/Windows (explorer ?) component that is causing the issue. What Fences version are you running ? If not on Versions
So I guess we'll just ignore this inconvenient thread and leave it hanging ? I went to some trouble to explain the ongoing issue and capture a screenshot to directly respond the same day to Adam the Stardock Support Specialist's assertion that all was fixed now when it clearly wasn't. Maybe the 28 Oct post is still in the process of updating on the Stardock server ?
They are aware of it. They have been aware of it many times and promised they have fixed it many times. These are just faster than 90's dial-up speeds. Seems they need to get someone in the server room who knows what he is doing. I complained on another thread and now I see this one and another as well that makes three threads recently ? How hard can it be to solve it? It has been going on at least a year or more at this point. An IT company that cannot sort out a download speed
Sorry Adam but after I got an email that there had been a further response on this thread I came back to check. The Stardock website speed is just as slow as ever so I don't know what you fixed but it certainly isn't fixed from a customer's perspective. The download speed I got to test (download a trial of stardock Start 11 software) was at best 75 kbps. That's kbps not Mbps. I am in Australia but your website is the only one on which I don't get very quick download speeds on my 1000 Mbps fib

Thanks - I checked the previous link you gave - it was about twelve months old so it seems nothing has been fixed or improved since that previous post. I have a fast (1 gbps) download speed so the Stardock download speed is very noticeable. It is what it is I guess but it sure seems very strange to seemingly be back at dial-up modem speeds :-). Even posting in these forums takes a noticeable wait time to go through.
Can someone explain why the download speeds of anything from the Stardock website is consistently slow ? In fact downloads run at an injured snail’s pace. I can download from China through the firewall faster than I can from Stardock. As I understand it, Stardock is based in the US? It can’t be a bandwidth issue sure so why such low speeds in 2025 ?
Hi I just purchased Fences 6 lifetime. Couldn’t see the answer to my question so apologies if it is shown elsewhere else and I’ve just missed it. I have been using Fences 3 for a long time up until now. When I install the updated version is it better to install straight over the top of Version 3 or should I save my Fences 3 layout settings, uninstall Fences 3 then install Fences 6 ? Or does it matter either way ? Thanks in advance!

Hi - I have been searching for the answer to this for some time in the documentation and in the software and have finally given up. Can anyone tell me if Start 11 has the ability to change the horrible Win 11 right click menu back to the Win 10 style ? I thought it did but so far have drawn blank finding the setting if it exists... Many thanks in advance. Moved to Start Menu Product area
Why are you selling this software outright for a very reasonable price yet expect your customers to pay a ridiculous amount for an outright copy of Fences 5 to avoid your new one-yearly subscription model with that software ? Seems many people are voting with their wallets closed and opting to stick with Fences 4. I cannot follow your Company's logic in this.

I could not see my recently purchased keys in that same area either. I am very sure my Fences was part of Object Desktop but the Fences has been working fine since it expired. Stardock must have one of the most confusing licensing systems around. I bought Fences a few years ago with Object Desktop. I assume it was explained to me at the time but I have no idea now how many licenses came with that and whether it/they expire or not after any time period. I tried to download my keys using Stardock's "Product Key Retrieval" service thinking that would tell me - but no, I was just given my key. I cannot remember if the licence was for installation on more than one PC. I
