Back from the dead! Ok, so blogging just isn't my thing. I try to keep my facebook reasonably up to date, but even with a limited character count and complete randomness I sometimes have not a lot to say to the world. The next couple of months though will be a little different (I hope). You see, my summer is about to really kick in to action. Yeah, it has been a pretty busy year so far with weekends at the race track riding my motorcycle at my limits (it can do s

Environment is just an example. I agree completely that there are flaws in government. It is really no longer government for the people by the people unless people is defined as the richest lobbyists, but that is a whole different discussion and it is close to the end of the week and I am going on a weekend vacation and don't want to get riled up
Hmmm....let see. How about the ability to post this article without fear of retribution from the government. The ability to drive to work with out fear of a bomb going off on the side of the road and blowing you to pieces. The point is that you get a lot for the money, it is just that not a lot of it is in tangible form. We as a society complain a lot about how bad things are. Take air pollution for example. Without the various environmental protection agencies both at the federal and stat
In a time when NASA seems to be taking a lot of hits for scandal and problems with the shuttle, it is nice to see that they still have something that works. The Mars rovers have come back to life after the dust storms have passed and are continuing to explore the surface of Mars. The fact that the rovers work at all is an achievement by itself since it took a couple
The answer is, I have no idea. I just feel left out that I do not have a blog like everyone else and thought maybe I should get on the band wagon. I am a developer and not prone to being very talkative. We will just have to see how this goes I guess. My other passion is motorcycles, specifically sport bikes and sport tourers, so I am sure the subject will come up occasionally s

/me notes spelling on the other hand is not a strong point
Eclet, yes I did read the article and do understand whet telematics is. The article simply struck me as funny. I understand that they are seperate systems. I also understand that it doesn't mean that MS will stop trying to get "Windows" to be used in other functions of the car. This post was largely meant as a humorous post. I am a programmer and deal with the foibles of Windows on a regular basis .
Honest officer, I was just driving along checking my email and there was this one with an attachment. I selected it and suddenly my airbags deployed, *then* I hit the telephone and caused a 10 car pile up.
/me suggests checking the date on your computer. maybe it is not set to the correct date or year Just a thought
I'm sure this might be really cool (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techinnovations/2003-03-27-car-windows_x.htm), but I'm not sure I want to reboot my car before starting it up Reminds me of the old joke about What if you car was built by Mircosoft
There is a very interesting article on wired about hydrogen power and how to get it going. It's a fairly long article but worth a read in my opinion. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.04/hydrogen.html
There's a penguin on the telly! What's it doing on the telly? Standin'
the old days? I've been coding for a long time. However, in the world of IBM programmers, where I got my start in programming, proper language was always encouraged. So I never really was exposed to the leet speak. Winding up with a phone number that is leet is just slightly ironic Hi werewolf, I'm one of the "lurkers" <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
/me has had 1337 for a phone number for almost 10 years Though not being into leet speak, I never really thought about it. Thanks for pointing it out Elkura
thundr51, I use vs.net extensively with out much problem with wb3.9. The only thing I have excluded to make debug work is aspnet_wp.exe. This is the worker process for the asp.net stuff and it not visual so excluding it has no negative side effect . There are a few other little oddities that they are working on for the wb4 release version, but none of them are major things.
The problem I see with the author having to approve the changes is that some authors have "disappeared" but their skins are still here and getting more out of date everyday. A good example is Shawn Murdock's skins. I love them, but now they are very out of date. I would love to see them updated, however I believe the author is much too busy with life to do any skinning. I agree the author should still be able to have final control of their skin and any updates/additions made to it. Som
/me agrees with Jafo. Wife 1.0 works quite well. Been running it for almost 10 years. Have only had the occasional clash with Paranoia 0.5 because I travel a lot, but that is easily solved with Florist 12.0
See, you all just thought I was a nice guy
/me would like to thank all of the users for the feedback that helps us to improve the products. /me would also like to thank all of the skinners for making such wonderful and creative use of the programs. From one of the OD developers

/me has season tickets to the Falcons this year. It was a good showing even though they lost to the Packers in overtime
Well, the message boards are not the official support channel for Stardock products. I would suggest trying the newsgroups at nntp://news.stardock.com or sending an email to [email protected].
