Currently: Pennsylvania, U.S.A.Originally: Nebraska, U.S.A.
Qui-Gon, don't you want to satisfy you latent desire to return to your Midwestern roots? The MWC will happily welcome you into the fold - and your points. ;) Manifest Destiny Down with GROSS ~SDC~
Where is my maso/gigantic
Harel, my guess would be that you submitted it after I gathered the stats that morning. You game is in my database. I collect data twice a day - at 6AM and 6 PM CST. Probably just missed you. :notsure: ~SDC~
The KasualKid is from Indiana, USA Hey EBZ, why didn't you join the MWC? You are in the circle. LOL ~SDC~
Hmmmm. Exactly half (49) in the last month, since the xpack release. ~SDC~
but Staffa redefined the whole concept of playing maso.
Point taken and my apologies to Staffa. I will copy him gladly too. LOL ~SDC~
I hope you enjoy the game as much as we have! Thanks for sharing. LOL ~SDC~
Sirian, nice AAR! My frustration with Maso right now is the neverending sense that you are one misstep from defeat - which you are I assume, until you have mastered the "skills" that it takes to win. I have only won one Maso game and lost many others. Great job and thanks for sharing some of your experiences. ~SDC~
Since the dawn of the metaverse, there have been 98 Gigantic/Maso games submitted - 23 of which have been in the last nine days.
I'll enjoy it while it lasts, there's alot of up and coming new talent!
Talent, nothin! I am not proud. I am a copycat. Ray and Cotal are the original "Original Thinkers". LOL Manifest Destiny Down with GROSS ~SDC~
I see, and which empire would you suggest for an Illinoisian?
Well, if you are admitting that you are an Illinoisian, your Manifest Destiny lies with the Mid-Western Confederation! LOL Manifest Destiny Down with GROSS ~SDC~
Cotal the new Queen strategy
So, Mayito, have you tried it? ~SDC~
It seems that the player profile totals and the empire stuff are not always in sync. I don't know why or what governs it. We are glad to have you back nonetheless. :) ~SDC~
Mayito! Brother! Welcome back into the fold. You are a machine like kryo! ~SDC~
kryo, you are becomming a machine!! ~SDC~
As stated above, we assume that the "cheat" flags go on or whatever therefore no score for the game (this is done just for the enjoyment anyway, right?). Wasn't there a "cheat" added to autocolonize all major races in the game? That might make for a quicker start and somewhat even distribution of planets. Unless you really want to go through that . . . ~SDC~
Well, I am shocked. As stable as the empire rankings were even with unadjusted points, the individual scores are the exact opposite. I have seen this in both the beta and 1.10. I would create a freighter and send it across the universe to a planet (usually it is the Yor, but sometimes happens with a minor). Once the freighter gets there, it will not move onto the system to establish a trade route. I don't get a message saying I have maxed routes and I know I have them available. The only thing I can do is disband the frieghter and create a new one. It usually works the second time through. ~SDC~
What if the metaverse was just based on points you earned in each game - no placing in 30 day blocks and degrading of scores in any way? Would the Empire Ranks or Top Player Ranks change? No problem. Without looking at the actual date of submissions, it would seem that the "sweet spot" of games played was "Normal" before (with 150 games across versions) with the next in line being "Painful" (with 120 games). Hmmmm. Wonder how hard it would be to "chart" the mean a week at a time of the difficulty of games submitted. Computer . . . ~SDC~
That's probably resubmissions of pre-1.1 games. When you resubmit a game, your original submission date doesn't change.
Or that. LOL ~SDC~
Ah, good question. I counted games submitted on 9/16 (the release date) as occuring "before", since the xpack came out late in the day. It would then stand to reason that a few lads or lasses got a game in with the xpack before midnight Eastern time. :) ~SDC~
