Meh, thanks. Ill just keep on playing my current game. Thank you! If I do NOT enable the def.ini file it will play as the developers intended, that being how it currently is in 1.4.
If you don't change the pref, then yes the game will play the same as it did in 1.4
Pshaw, I just recently started a game. I am loath to restart a new one. I currently DID notice I have assault fighters on my modules at start. Will this patch fix the issue or will I have to restart a new game? Also, will we still be able to TRADE specialization techs if we want to pick up ones we did not research?
Unfortunately, fixing the assault fighters issue is a data change
Wow, surprised to see it come back- the wheel that is. Good job making it optional under the circumstances. I'll probably use a combo of the two, wheel for certain planets and governors for others that I don't care too much about. Any need to start a new game with this update?
You don't need to start a new save game. However, you'll need to start the game and quit at least once to see new option in
***Released 11/5/15*** Summary In response to your feedback, we are allowing you to optionally use the old planetary production wheel through a pref.ini setting. In addition, this patch addresses an issue with old save game and fixes other game play bugs. Please read Brad Wardell's thoughts on the production wheel and where we are headed: <

Scythe, As a rule, we don't like resetting your settings either. However, we sometimes make a change that requires a reset.
I see military starbases area of effect is unchanged, is this still planned to be increased?
Did you start a new game? You'd need to start a new game to see the effect.
Confused by one of the patch notes for the latest opt-in patch: + 10/19/73: Human player can longer initiate trade before other player has universal translator Does this mean both parties need to have Universal Translator before a trade can be made? If so, can't say I like that much at all.
It sho

Just fixed it internally. The fix should go out in the next opt-in.

You should be able to play custom factions. However, some folks use mods to create their custom factions which can cause problems. What was your ticket number? Did you note what custom factions you were playing?
Ok thanks, we are looking into it now.

Thanks for the report. We've addressed the issue in our internal builds and it should go out in our next release.
Also, note that the ship list only shows the ships that you can currently build. If you haven't unlocked "huge hulls", then you won't see ships that use huge hulls.
