You can order directly from Stardock. If you order the CD, you get a temp serial number so you can download and play in the meantime. According the frontpage news section of the website here, Wallmart, Best Buy and EBGames/Gamestop have re-ordered already, so they may have had some and sold through their local inventory already. The developers have said the Core ships are a little better than you could typically build yourself when they first become available, but will become obsolete rather quickly as new techs become available to you. Tony

No, just run all your numbers together. You can always verify with your credit card company to see if a charge went through, and when you successfully complete the purchase, you will get an email from Stardock almost immediately. Tony

A lot of these error reports seem to have Nvidia 6600GT's in them. I have not been keeping track of the actual numbers, but it sure seems that way. For what it's worth, I run a 6600GT as well, and have had exactly two crashes over about 30 hours of game play. Tony

"Does downloading the game give you access to the collectors edition download-able content?"---- Yes, it's included in the download. The download also has the current patch included as well. For a few bucks extra for shipping, you can order the CD from Stardock. They will ship you the cool collectors box which includes a fold-out tech tree and a printed manual. (PDF included in download). You will also get a temporary serial number so you can still download and play while you are waiting fo

They said in the patch info posted here that they had to make some changes to the code to better able support ships transferring with future upgrades of the game. In the future, you should not loose any designs, but I think you are out of luck with this change. Tony

1. Just taxes, colonists and invasion troops. 2. Build influence starbases near them. Take over the offending enemy planets. 3. No easy answer to that one. There are all sorts of ways at designing good ships. Some of the ideas you suggested are good, but other ways work too. Experiment and have fun. Tony

Personally, I like the click-drag method so much now I don't care if they do anything for scrolling. My first reactions were like yours, but now I find click-drag faster and more precise than what scrolling would allow. When scrolling, the map will move faster the more zoomed out you are, so you might try zooming out a bit, scroll, them zoom back in again. Tony

Point 3- I have seen them adapt rather rapidly. A couple of games ago I had a minor race on the run. They begged for peace, and I got a pile of tech and money to agree to it. A number of turns latter, they declared war on me and came at me with a large fleet which just tore trough my previously unbeatable fleet. This is just one example. What difficulty level are you playing? I have been playing on Normal. Point 5- Just save a base configuration. Call it Cruiser Protot

I agree with Luv_Muffin. I thought the tutorials were excellent for what they are intended to be, an intorduction to the game. Suggestions for future tutorials would be a deeper look at SpaceStations. What do they do, where do you build them, how do you build them and so on. Perhaps a basic GalCiv Economics tutorial would be good as well, giving some of the basics of population, happiness and so on. Tony
