Me and Babyant007 have our matched scheduled for 20:00 GMT Tomorow (Saturday), ~28 hours from now. I'm hoping Zultar will be able to cast it. If you want to be very strict: Rockets that launch should start tilting over immediately because to get in orbit rockets need horizontal velocity, not vertical velocity. Even if rockets go for mars-escape velocity, going to orbit first is still the most efficient. They would also need to be launched into specific directions depending on the target orbit (let's just say pre-escape orbit). On earth rockets go up first because the lower atmosphere is too thick to go fast, Mars

I (Cubit32) agree with what Pbhead has said. I would like to add my own thoughts / analysis. Expansive is the best faction judging by my stats, I've won 73.8% of the games when I pick expansive (vs 62.6% overall). Scientific is my worst, even though some people think they are OP I cannot figure out a way to gain a dominating lead with them in almost any game partly just because it takes so long to upgrade and because glass production has a few minutes delay if it is far aw

It has been postulated by numerous players that replay recording causes lag. Now does it? In my experience it doesn't. I've had horrible lag with and without replays. My feeling is that it is an urban myth. I would like it if possible to permanently confirm or deny the replay lag hypothesis.

the tactic in Mantis' video is heavily reliant on other players not sabotaging you and having no idea about what you are doing. As such it is a good tactic to stomp public games with where there aren't players like pbhead, zultar or anyone else who knows how to scout and respond to what everyone else is doing. The upcoming patch will also nerf this particular tactic by making nanotech more expensive and making double shorting impossible.

I agree that the stock issue is a big problem. Buying someone out at one point or another becomes suicide. My win % with expansionist is by far the greatest at 78.7%. My win % win scientific is actually less than 50% and Robotic is at 55.5% though that is probably more due to playing a lot more with scientific in my early days than in my later days. Scavenger stands at 55.2%. Expansive to me feels by far the easiest to win with as long as there is at least 2 adjacent irons anywhere wi

The game right now is fairly predictable (save for random shortages / surpluses). Look around the map to see how many triangles and diamonds are producing (collections of 3+ structures) goods and you can know what is going to be cheap and what is not because people almost universally sell what they overproduce. Collections of 1-2 structures need not be considered because they are horribly inefficient. Life support and everything is going to rise in price due to demand from HQs and the c
