CTD, select The Terraformer after requisite technology researched = CTD. Save from turn before & smartexception submitted. Anyone else seen this?

Loading a saved 1.19 game into 1.2 the build queues were all reorganized and I was building improvements I didn't yet have technologies for. I appreciate that loading old games isn't recomended but a comment saying this will happen in the faq/readme would be helpful.
