Cool ideas! I do find that many players don't use the engineering lab. I think it's great. Thanks for sharing. -Scott-
I think engineering lab is great for robo players who go heavy steel

I definitely agree that each faction should have their own playstyle. I mentioned in another post, that that would be a way of replayability because if you go bored with the game, you could switch up the faction to create a whole new gaming experience
How would you want clans to work in Offworld? Is there a game that does clans really well? Thanks! -Scott-
Here is what I replied to you in a previous post: I would like to see in-game lobbies for clans (like in StarCraft 2.) Also maybe have a clan wa
Build two places for power, like 2 wind mills here and there, mutiny someone elses or save a mutiny to countermutiny someone else. You have options.
Then I would lose the bonus of having the power close to each other, which could lead to diminishing returns if I create too much power
I would like to see in-game lobbies for clans (like in StarCraft 2.) Also maybe have a clan wars type mode, like in the campaign, where different clans could sign up for weekly matches in which you fight over different areas on Mars. The clan with the most areas controlled wins the weekly match and maybe get some in game items. You could also use the winners to be in some kind of bi-monthly seasonal, in which the winners after, lets say, 8 weeks of games, come together and do a best of 7 game
Hey there. So I'm beginning to think EMP may be a bit overpowered vs Robotics in the Early Game, due to robotics sole dependency on power before they gain the ability to create electronics. Because of this, Robotics can be bought out quite quickly due their stock markets crashing early from the debt of no power. I believe this can be changed by having EMP start at a higher asking price in the black market.
Would you guys like to see some? I personally love the idea of clans in competitive games as they provide a means of constant games with the opportunity of feedback as well as an environment of people who share interest and passion in the game. Do you think we could see clan support in the game?
For Robotic, Ive been setteling on aluminum to get that instant burst, as well as putting down two steels and a iron. This allows me to go into Tech 2
Here are some of my ideas. I would like to hear everyone else as well. 1. Steam sale - $40 is a lot for many people, especially this being a per-release. The only reason I bought the game when I did is because my wife surprised me with a Steam card. Thats not to say I dont love it at all, because I do. However, I was going to have to wait a while until I bought this game. 2. Clan Support - I think clans are a great way to keep up a multiplayer environment. For e
I understand that I should play the market, but if everyone is playing the market as I am, that would natuarally lead to a surplus. Wouldn't here be a product or "tech route" that jives better with robotics? If everyone is making the same decisions, it no longer becomes a game of tactics and more of a game of mistakes and twitch reflexes.
So playing food/power late game as robotics is the way to go?
I did a vs Manager AI game (I cant play online due to servers) where I basically went strong steel and power, while using double hacker as well as improving steel production with a early engineer la. Basically I was producing much more steel than everyone else while forcing shortages and keeping them there by not selling while not hacking, basically letting my turbines do the money making. Would you consider that advisable? The only reason I dont like going life support is because its so out
How are you guys all using robotics. It seems they do get a pretty big lead early game, however during the mid and late game, I feel as if I cant do much, as in I pretty much cant move from steel/power. Should I be focusing on continual steel production, maybe with double Hacker arrays? I,m worried that as the game goes on, steel will become less potent as people expand less.
It is impossible form me to play online due to server lag. I don't have the best internet, but I will never have this much trouble while playing any other game. I have heard others say they have the same problem. Are there any fixes in the mix from Mohawk's end?
