Brad, all that sounds superb if everyone here was you. but the reality is that no one here is you or treetog or Alexandrie or Pixtudio. We are not graphic designers, or have the ability to create suits or make skins at the level of some of the great skinners in this site. As a matter of fact, most of the people that contribute in this website are just starting to experiment with 2D, 3D and vector programs. You and all the skinners that have been doing this for years or that have some type of deg

That is my point exactly WebMassa. For a while now I have seen the quality of artwork diminish as I have seen the number of good artist leaving WC increase. It is clearly that the method of moderation has somehow [for whatever reason] change it's standards, and sorry to say, but it has change badly. I dont think this thread is about why something of your own was rejected. I think is a realization of many on the issues regarding the moderation system on certain designs as of late.
IPlural, that might have a chance of working, except for the fact that it will only add more people with different oppinions on a design therefor increasing the diversity of the issue. Eeeeeek.... GA beat me to the comment. . [Message Edited]
Zodiaq, that will be a brillian idea and the solution to everyone's problem in this site. Unfortunately not eveyone here is a skinner, so an artist that has no knowledge of skinning will never be able to display his wallpaper design. In other words those who cant skin, cant be on this site.
Which lead to the next comment. Not everyone has the knowledge to skin nor the time available to invest on the creation of a skin. You are savy at what you do perhaps for the yrs of experience, your profession or simply because you are a quick learner. It didnt take me long to create my 1st WindowBlind and I took a crack at skining a winamp and I did that too in no time. But not everyone learn that quic
Grayhaze, I totally agree with you on the comment about ‘move on to the next skin/design if you don’t like the previous one’ I am one to backup that comment 100% But this is easy to do when you are merely a viewer. But it’s a little more complicated when you are contributor. Those of you who have felt this way at one point or another will agree with me on this; After spending hours on a design and uploading it and see it get rejected only to check the site five minutes later and see a 10 min
Brad, your comment as clear and bold as you made it its totally un-ethical and uncalled for. Specially coming from the founder of Stardock and WC. The majority of today skinners in this side did not start out as skinners, most of them started as regular wallpapers artist. When I join this site, my only contribution was wallpapers. I didnt know anything about skinning, but as time went on I started to experiment with Logons and then went on to skin window blinds and winamp. So for you to
#18 by pictoratus - 7/20/2003 8:15:23 PM You make great walls A. I hate to think I'd miss some quality stuff from you. Well, you have missed about a dozen. But I'm uploading on DA, so you can see my work there from now on.
It seems easier on submissions has taken me out of the loop [Message Edited]
I think I'll have to agree with you on this one Jarget. And not to disrespect any artist or put down anyone, but the reality is that lately I've seen a lot of work been submited and accepted that really falls short of expectation. Not to mention the fact that some work has been on display for almost a week or beyond and the download count hasnt even reach triple digits. Not much appeal I'll imagine. It seems the moderators have become more flexible on the quality of the work submited. I my s
Thats a good idea Weaksid. It seems a lot of my work has been rejected lately. I think I'll look for an alternate site to upload. DA sounds like a good choice.
GA along with Jim, Adni and a few other artist have switch over to DA. They no longer upload on WC, but unlike the other artist, GA and Jim empty their library from WC. Jim remains to pull his awesome Bryce work and GA has gotten more into the fractal style pulling out some extreamly 'sick' art work. That guy has no limit on his talent.
@shu, was you really gone all that time? I hardly noticed it I read the WC was organizing a search party to find you. Nice to have you back and looking forward for more of your great work.
Happy B/Day Event Are you old enough to drink now? Enjoy this and all the many B/Days to come.

Im a faitful user of Bryce and PhotoShop7. I use one to complement the other. But I have been experimenting with PS7 alone to create my designs. My Tribal Dragon wall is 100% PS7
17" Dell M782 True Flat. But I'm looking into a CTX PV7722E 17" LCD or a Sony StylePro 18" LCD
The image in DeviantART has a link to Misanthropia.com on the bottom right corner. The artist of that and other manipulated images is ~back. If Back is using the nickname cat925 to upload work in WinCustomize, why would the image be uploaded here cutting out the bottom part?
