So, Multiplicity will not be made available for Linux and Mac? As it stands now, the free application Synergy beats Multiplicity, even though it hasn't been updated for at least two years. And the ThinkDesk suite only have two full applications, despite we where promised more. I'm not sure if it's worth renewing my ThinkDesk subscription anymore. p.s. Object Edit? Completely dead? It was promised an update last year. But there has been none. I've contacted support several times and was told they'd look into it and get back to me, but so far no more info. Getting UTF-8 support would be great, and fix the coloured gutterbar.

Meanwhile, you can edit the RunningMatrix.xml file yourself. The opacity value goes from 0.0 to 1.0. So 50% opacity would be represented by 0.5. I can't remember the format the colour green is in. But from the xml file on my computer when I set it to Green (RGB 0,255,0) it is -8323328.

Ah, I'd never tested it with 64bit system, nor UAC on. I have a suspicion that 32bit users will get that error as well. I think it's because Vista wants applications to write in the user folder instead of the program files folder or the system folder. I was uploading an update to my London Tube Vista gadget and I got an error when I tried to upload the .gadget file. WC told me to check the file extension, requiring a .zip file. But the .gadget file is a zip file, it's just renamed. So zipping the allready zipped file seems very unnessesary. If we could upload .gadget files then the users downloading the file could easily install it directly, now they got to unpack it first. Could the Vis

The problem with DX as I see it is that it doesn't scale well. When your widget or desktop becomes somewhat complex it's just not a very easy process to maintain it. Reusability is hard. For instance, scripts. Yes, we can use external scripts, but only one per object. Often my projects have objects which share similar features. However, I need to copy bits of code across to multiple objects. That makes is not ideal when you need to update that code snippet as it might occur multiple places. B

I believe it was said to be released an update at the end of last summer. Any news of this? Also, I know DX3.5 encountered some difficult issues requiring quite a bit of recoding, but is there some indication to when we can expect DX?

What's wrong with the start menu? I find it much better than XP's. I rarely have dig into the list of apps, I just hit a couple of keys for the name of the app or item I'm looking for. Much quicker than scanning the ol' XP menu. I've used Vista since the betas and I'm very happy with it. Most of my problems has been third parties not supporting it properly.
