Good day, First, thank you for all your hard work and congratulations on this new release. Since version 2.7, when using the "Modern style" Start menu with Windows dark mode enabled, the search box background is black. In version 2.6 and earlier, it was white. The current dark background is a bit uncomfortable to read and strains my eyes. Would it be

Hi, After updating to Start11 version 2.06 on several computers, I've noticed a consistent problem: typing "appwiz.cpl" into the Start menu's "Search programs and files" field and hitting enter fails to produce any response. On one occasion, doing so (out of habit) caused an explorer.exe access violation (0xc0000005) crash, with Start10_64.dll being the faulting module. Prior to version 2.06, doing the aforesaid would successfully open the Add/Remove Programs window. E
Hello, Currently, in both the Start11 v2 and Start11 v1, there's no option to alter the background color of the search text box in the Windows 7-style Start Menu ("Search programs and files"). To me, this is of importance when dark mode is enabled in the operating system and the "Use automatic colour for the start menu" setting is turned on in Start11. In this scenario, the search text box is colored black (as shown in the attached screenshot) -- a color that doesn't suit my p
Yes, that's indeed the situation -- the licenses were purchased back in October 2021, over two years ago. I've submitted a ticket and am awaiting a reply.
Hello, I own five individual Start11 licenses (all purchased before the 5-PC offering was introduced). How can I proceed with the v2.0 license upgrade? Am I eligible for an upgrade discount for each license if they're all under the same Stardock account? If not, could they be "consolidated" into one 5-PC key for Start 11 v2.0, assuming I cover the upgrade cost for each? -- I would much rather prefer this option, for the sake of convenience. Thank you!

By the way, pressing CTRL+ESC still brings up the Windows 11 Start menu. Is this by design?

I just tried to switch from a left-aligned taskbar to centered – and I could not reproduce the issue. After switching back to a left-aligned taskbar, the issue has become reproducible again.
Hi, No, no customization software of any kind – apart from Start11 – is installed or running. The system is completely stock.
Hi Neil, Thanks for all the hard work. The Start button is left-aligned and no custom Start button image is set. Enhanced taskbar mode is not enabled. Note that the Start menu opens every time when using the Windows keyboard key; this issue seems to be limited to scenarios where the Start button is being mouse-clicked. Additionally, I have not been able to reproduce this issue on a Windows 10 machine with Start11 version 1.25 (it seems to be limited to machines with Wi
Hi, Unfortunately, removing and reinstalling Start11 anew does not resolve the issue. In the meantime, I've been able to reproduce the issue on another computer (Windows 11 and Start11 version 1.25 as well).
Hi, I am running Start11 version 1.25, on Windows 11. I've started experiencing an issue recently, where sometimes, opening the Start menu may require several clicks. Reproduction can take a while, but is basically done as follows: once the Start menu is shown, I click anywhere on the desktop (this would close the Start menu) and then click the Start button again. Sometimes, it would take three clicks for the Start menu to appear (during these attempts, the menu might flash ve

Hi, Thanks for the reply! I know about that feature and I am using it. Still, all one can do with it is group universal applications within a separate, predefined folder; what I was asking is whether it would be possible to implement functionality where universal applications would be treated just like any other application (so that their shortcuts could be freely moved, renamed and deleted – without uninstalling the entire app). Thanks!
Hi! I was wondering whether it would be possible to implement a feature where Start menu shortcuts Universal Applications would get the same treatment as non-universal ones? Presently, it is not possible to delete an individual shortcut to a universal application from the Start menu, short of uninstalling the app. It is also impossible to rename a shortcut to a universal app (the option does not exist in the context menu). Thanks!
[quote who="w64bit" reply="21" id="3824735"] Windows 7 style - search box issues: - search text is italic. It should be regular (not italic) - bottom left of the input box is clipping input text. You can see this when you are typing words starting with p or j. Shift + right click on taskbar is not working anymore with Start11.
Hi! I am using the Windows 7-style Start Menu. I noticed a small cosmetic glitch, where, once the Start button is clicked, the user photo (top right side) appears in its final place right from the beginning, and does not slide up together with the entire animation. The animation itself feels not as smooth as it used to be with older versions, too. Another cosmetic issue that I'm seeing, I am able to reproduce only on one of my multi-screen setups (this cannot be reproduced
