An easily reproducible issue that I just saw: I have the Windows 7 style menu configured. When I click on "Start", and then, in the "Search programs and files", I type "appwiz.cpl", the caret gets positioned incorrectly (as evident from the attached screenshot). A slight shift happens, so it would seem, with any typed character apart from lowercase 'f'. By the way, would it be possible to make the font in that textbox configurable? The italic style is, honestly, less to my taste.<b

Good day, First, I would like to thank Neil and the team for creating these fantastic Start menu products. I've been a customer since the Start8 days, and couldn't be happier with your products (I just purchased five Start11 licenses). I have the general availability Windows 11 release and as of version 0.9, most of the issues I used to encounter are gone. Two issues still persist, though. I have a small feature request, too. The first issue that I see is that although
Thank you very much for this incredible gesture, and keep up the excellent work!
Re-educating oneself to use the native Windows Start menu system You do realize that if people did that Stardock would not have a business. 🤔 As far as DRM, the main driving factor for people to circumnavigate it is because companies get greedy and charge too much for their products. I have seven computers in my household, five of which have Start10 installed. Accordingly, as per the Start10 EULA, I purchased five Start10 licenses. It has never occurred to me to even attempt activating the program on more computers than the license allows; as a matter of fact, I wasn't even aware of that option. That is because I wasn't entitled to deploy each license on more than one machine at a time, to begin with. Seeing how people complain about a *technical* licensing cha
Thank you very much!
Hello, First, thank you for creating these incredible Start8, Start10 and now Start11 products! I've been using them for years, and I can't imagine my computing experience without them. We are a multi-PC household and I own five Start10 licenses, all tied to the same Stardock account. I would now like to upgrade to Start11, and I was wondering what would be the best way to purchase five different upgrades – using the same Stardock account – so that all five Start10
Our activation has used servers since well before Start8 was released. Unfortunately software piracy stopped the basic serial number systems from being viable about a decade ago. Key gens were just too common.
Hi Neil, thanks for replying! I understand and by no means was I critical of this. By the way, by correctly employing a certain class of asymmetric cryptographic algorithms, it is possib
Had that happen to me today, but for a different reason. During upgrade, the registration information was lost and once I launched Start8, I was required to reactivate. The reason, it appears to me, is that I didn't let the Start8 installer (or SasUpgrade.exe) through the firewall during installation. I usually don't let applications which have no explicit network-related functionality, that is essential to me, through the firewall. At no point during the installation
Great work, thanks!
Hi Jafo! Apologies for not following the correct procedure for reporting issues. I will open tickets from now on. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks, Neil. Noted. On another note, apologies for not following the correct procedure for reporting issues. I will open tickets from now on. Thanks!
Hi, Thanks for replying. I have not. Perhaps I should. :) Thanks for the hint. :) Pavel
Hi! I am using WindowBlinds 8.02 on Windows 8.1 Pro. I just upgraded to the v32 (recent) release of Chrome. After upgrading, I noticed that Chrome has started to consume rather excessive amounts of RAM (the ever increasing RAM usage can be observed in the Task Manager, while the browser is relatively idle). In a matter of a few minutes, one of Chrome's processes wo
Hi! It has been two months since I last wrote here. :) Just wanted to ask whether there are any news regarding this. Thanks
Just a quick report. I am using Celestia, which is a free (open source) astronomy software. I am also running WindowBlinds 8.02 on Windows 8.1. When the Win8 skin is selected, Celestia's title bar and menu are not displayed properly (a screenshot is attached). To fix this, I launch Celestia, then I launch WindowBlinds and switch to the Default Theme. The application is then properly displayed. The menus will keep being displayed correctly after switching back to the Win8 theme. Ye
Hi! Are there any news with respect to this? Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
Hi! Just a quick question. The size of the Show Desktop button has apparently been changed in Windows 8.1. When I am using the Win8 skin, this results in the following: 1) The skinned texture does not match the new size of the button, resulting in an overlap, as evident from the image below: 2) I use two monitors. The Show Desktop button on the second monitor is no
Just a quick update: upgraded to Windows 8.1, and the issue persists (thread title has been modified accordingly).
Hello! First, thank you for an outstanding product. I am extremely pleased with it. I have an peculiar issue with WindowBlinds and Google Chrome on Windows 8. Hoped you could help. I am running WindowBlinds version 8.01 and the latest version of Google Chrome. When the Google Chrome window is maximized and in focus, and the Show Desktop button is clicked, the Chrome window would freeze for a very brief moment, then what appears to be a stretched, double-gray colored wi
I second the request. The implementation of blur would have made an outstanding new feature in an already outstanding product. :)
Hi, Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I'm aware, v8.0 is a stable, non-beta release, no? Re-applying the skin fixes it for me, as well. Wonder what our systems have in common, so that we encounter this issue. Pavel
Hi, thanks for replying! :) Hope someone from the development team reads this.
