Just finished my 3rd MV game. The funny thing is that my 2nd and 3rd games have exactly the same score - 32900! Finally managed to finish my 3rd game and was promoted to Lieutenant. It is a bit disappointing because there is no improvement in my score, even though this was slightly higher level (Painful) and I was definitely more powerful than before. The funny thing is that the score was EXACTLY the same as last game - 32900! I tested by finishing the game
At the time of purchase, the correct exchange rate will be applied no matter what the price quoted on impulse or the stardock store.
Thanks! That will do, although still not OK.

Surely the $2 won't be wasted! But I have been observing that the USD to INR (Indian Rupees) ratio is always shown higher than it is at that time or even during the last 48 hours or so. I hope that is not intentional!

Yes, that change was introduced with TA - my pique was that in subsequent patches the probability of creativity giving you a random tech seems to have been reduced significantly. I don't know if this was actually done or not; I just feel that it is so. I haven't got even a single tech in nearly 75 weeks now, and this happens on a regular basis in most of my games. What is even more annoying is that I almost never get expensive techs by creativity :(

That is the beauty - you don't need a new disc. You can download the game using Stardock's Impulse. If you haven't already registered the game with Stardock Central/Impulse, install Impulse, then register your copy of Galciv2 using the serial number that you had with your disc. After that, you can download the game and forget about the discs! If you had already registered the game, then you need to use that same account. If you have problems, contacting Stardock support might be usefu

Fighter is probably a small hulled one, I don't remember what design is called Frigate. Anyway, those names are by default. I strongly advise that you ditch all the core ships and rely solely on your self designed ships - that alone will grant you victory in many games. Also, it can help you to manage your ships better when you have scores or even hundreds of planets. For example, in my current game, the Havoc class ships are being amassed on the Drengin border while the Exterminators

Lol, the midnight change confusion got you - you better be careful when catching a flight. My friend went to the train station only to find that his train had left yesterday ;) MV seems to be up again.

Wow, I just had to gift Laser II (I had Laser V) to the massive Thalans (Painful level) because they didn't have the sense to research weapon techs and the Drengin, who have as much military as me, declared war on them. I can't afford to have the Drengins become too strong, even if it means that I have to my weapon tech to others. This is getting a bit ridiculous now - they had almost as much research as me. This feature is a total disaster, IMO, no matter how well intentioned. <

You have to check it to disable it. It affects the AI very seriously, so choose accordingly. If you think the AI is too easy, don't check it, but if you think that it is trading your techs everywhere and annoying you, just disable it. I disable it because it gives me more control over the game. I judiciously trade techs which give me significant ability bonuses, whereas the AI isn't that smart.

Assumption - No nukes used, otherwise there can only be one result- human extinction. Only the US and UK have significant nuclear capability. If the US managed to nuke all of the Commonwealth, we would have loooooooooong nuclear and full ecological damage. No winners here. Considering diplomatic factors is non-sensical. US is very important but the Commonwealth has 54 countries in it, guaranteeing a strong diplomacy. If the UK, Australia and Canada as well as India and Pakistan

What do you mean by win? And there are more countries in the commonwealth, AFAIK. If you mean a military conflict, the US would win hands down, as long as we are not considering nukes - that would be everyone's end. But the conflict would probably be pointless, because the Commonwealth can't win and the US can't occupy these countries.

Sorry if my tone sounded a bit aggressive - I didn't mean it that way but anything is possible over the net. Cheers! [e digicons][/e] 2 AIs at medium should give you enough time to expand IMO. At least you should have enough time to get a sizable empire going before a war starts. Or you could play on a large galaxy. Sizes are as follows: Med - 5X5 = 25 Large - 8X8 = 64 Huge - 12X12 = 144 Gigantic - 18X18 = 324 sectors The jumps are quite

I am pretty sure that you can still play the latest patched versions of DL and DA - you just need to click the appropriate executables. For me, the GC2DarkAvatar.exe file in the \Games\Stardock Games\GalCiv2Ultimate\DarkAvatar folder does the job.

You DO NOT get 700 habitable planets (or even planets) on a meidum map. For that, you need to play on a gigantic size galaxy with everything set to abundant. Seriously ask yourself - are you ready for that kind of time and effort commitment? Your map size is medium because it has 5X5 grid.

You have to understand two things here: -The real and IMO only effective way to make sure not to be attacked is by the AI is to have high military rating. Otherwise you are fair game, no matter what. -3 planets, you say? In a large galaxy? I am sorry but that is just asking for trouble. Sureshot way to lose. You MUST colonize fast, the whole game depends on it.
