May be a permissions issue. CursorFX uses this file to store its current theme: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Stardock\CursorFX\CurrentTheme.CursorFX It's possible it can't write that file properly, so it can't reload something that was only in memory before.

ObjectDock doesn't do anything that would sustain a high CPU load for long enough to overheat it like that. Momentary spikes every now and again, sure, but in order to put a load on a i7 that would cause that kind of an issue, and have it only be software that is the cause, there would need to be something else putting a sustained load on the CPU.
