Retail therapy sucks mate. I blew over $5000 in two months after splitting with my ex, thus wiping out any and all savings I've managed to accumulate. Can't say it was worth it, quite the opposite. Where's a time machine when I need one

Quite a large spectrum you've got going there. Yeah, Peral Jam is the best! Rock on brother! :D
Nicky...not only do I have those times, I've started writing blogs on my pocket PC, wrote the beginning to the one I posted today while having a coffe in Starbucks. I think I've lost it... :D
Gemini...smack bang in the middle of my sign, making me quite a pure gem (lol). Scropios and Sags, stay away from me...Libras and Aries, I welcome you with open arms
Brad, any discounts for Stardock customers? ;) Btw, I have a quiestion about the Stardock ID thing, how are you guys calculating that? Mine's 372, but I've seen some six figure ones, what exactly does that refer to?
Sometimes it's good to revisit the past
I'm verry sorry to hear that Trin... As Dan said, we're here for you. I know how you feel, I've had friends die...so I know what you're going through. We love you Trin, hang in there.
I read all the recent articles on the list, though I admit that I tend not to look at those that drop off the most recently posted list unless they're by people I consider my friends or are of particular interest to me. Alas in my defence, I only have so much time I can devote to JU, especially since I write my own stuff.
I respectfully disagree. There is no excuse for insulting a group of people, regardless whether serious or not. Judging by the response of some women, they were genuinly hurt by his comments. Had he used racial slurs, he'd been crucified, why is it then we tolerate his derogatory statements on women (and gays as I've noticed in some other thread)? I'm sorry, but although I can understand that some people find his brand of humour appealing, I do not. <B
Gotta love conspiracy theories... I wouldn't call it cliques, I'd call it virtual friendships. Besides, is it all that important who's first, second...tenth and so on? Maybe I got the whole idea of blogs wrong, didn't realise it was about competition for ratings.
Ditto, particularly since I like TH stuff and yet it's a miracle to find something that fits. I'm not big, but I'm short, 5 '6 - 5' 7, S shirts are too small (too tight), M too large...it's like their idea of a 5' 7 guy is someone who weighs 100 pounds :/ Get a life you so-called designers, think of the shorter people for a change. You and your bloody model stereotypes.
I ain't paying, Brad's already milked me dry Brad, hang in there mate, "we" have been through worse over the years, I wish I still had all the posts from the WB newsgroup when it went 1.0
Well, I throw in a few cents. I'm a Catholic, I have faith, I do believe in Jesus, but...I'll agree with Muggzy somewhat. God gave us minds to make our own decisions in life and lead it the way we want it to. I do not blindly follow my faith, I question things, a lot of things in the scriptures don't make sense to me, I doubt God would be angry with me because I use that mind of mine. I'm not a sheep to blindly follow what's been told. I find my own wa
I've had a similiar situation with my ex. Dropped out of uni to be there at any given hour, some days I wouldn't even leave the vincinity. It was hard, but things worked out ok in the long run. Pity we're not together any more, but the only thing that counts is that everything's ok.
My name is Mack, which is a cheap substitute for my Polish middle name which is Maciek. Contrary to popular belief I'm not depressed all the time. I also plan to steal Tirnitie away from Dan. I also have no life and live like a hermit which I blame on me being in a long-distance realtionship, cause I can't have fun without my significant other cause that just sucks. Also imajinit's had problems deciphering my sexuality, how is that coming along mate? <
Happy birthday mate! Enjoy it while it lasts. By the time my age you reach, mid-midlife crisis you will have :P :D Now get out and get absolutely smashed, plastered, whatever. Have fun!!!
Simple advice, go for it. It's better to try and fail than not to try and then constantly have second thoughts and might have beens.
I can relate. Sort of. I've suffered from insomnia for three years, I'd only fall asleep when my body was so exhausted that it couldn't stay awake any more. I tried various drugs and home remedies and none of them worked. I ended up sleeping mostly on the couch, my back hurts till this day (that was back in 1997-2000). The fallout of my insomnia is that I've become addicted to falling asleep in front of the tv. If the tv isn't on I just can't sleep. I
For crying aloud, can we please have a poll whether we want the trolling option to stay or go? I don't mind the Interesting or Insightful options, but trolling is pointless. Furthermore...10 times? Are you kidding me? Once should be the maximum times a person is allowed to rate an article. Just cause you're watching "us", doesn't mean it will stop people from abusing the system. I'm sorry, but I really find the current state of affairs disturbing and q
I get writer's block quite often. It is very hard to post something new and interesting each and every day. I look on my blog like I would on a newspaper, I want to "publish" it every day, but like with all newspapers, you only have as many top stories to work with, the rest is rubbish that gets thrown in there as filler. Ditto with music CDs, come on, when was the last time you picked up a CD and instead of 2 or 3 single-grade songs you actually thoug
I'll agree with all the points sans the 3rd one. Keep in mind that a lot of us write blogs to keep our friends informed of what is going on in our lives. I don't think it's a valid reason to write someone off just because they happen to be using their site for that reason. I know I'm guilty of it, but given that a large share of my friends live overseas this is the only way I can keep them abrest of the happenings in my life. Having said that,
I agree with Dan and Poet, that was simply amazing, you go girl :)
Glory glory Man United as the Reds go marching on! Maaaaate, been a fan of the Red Devils since 1984 :D
Back at uni we had an indoor soccer comp, I played for the Dunlop Volleys We got 4th, lost the 3rd place play-off on penalties :/ Mugz, what team do you root for anyway? Please don't say Arsenal...
You know, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've spent 4 years of my life living in Toronto :)
