I assume that the OP is talking about the tournament and not just a "Hard" skirmish against the AI. I just played through the tournament on Hard difficulty as Erebus and found it to be an interesting challenge. I ultimately won, Sedna came in second, and QoT (yes, QoT) came in third. I lost about 2 sessions, at least one of which was slaughter (my allies just got farmed). The big thing is to do all of the things necessary to get a lot of favor points during e
Yeah, I've had this error about 5 times over the past two weeks. I suspect that it can be purposefully caused by a player. In at least a couple of cases, my team was winning; at other times, it seems to happen early in a game. One time when the error box popped up, someone on the other team sent a message saying something like "desync hack, hehe." Since these games don't usually get recorded, I can't recall who the players were. Anyway, I hope that this gets fixed.&nbs
Same thing happened to me yesterday ( http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/891938/player/78330/ ). My team actually lost, but everyone quit before the end of the game except me and another guy on the other team. However, whereas me and the other guy (colonic_facelift) should have gotten some favor for playing the game out, only one person did--and he was amongst the first to quit.
Looks very cool to me. I even like the floating throne, especially if he stands up and flexes now and then. It's also cool how his attributes are tied to idols--just makes sense. I could see a team with him and Sedna hitting if off really well, with one giving health boosts and the other providing mana boosts. Looking forward to this.
just put in a random team option. bam, youre the fourth guy to join a 3v3 and you see random teams you can rest easy my friend.
That's a good idea, actually. DoW: Dark Crusade had this feature. I wouldn't suppose that it would be hard to implement.
I don't have an issue with pre-mades as long as they are honest about it either by listing the game as pre-made or answering a question about it honestly in the lobby. It's the ones that sneak into (or even host) "noobs only" games or will lie when asked about it that I find disgusting. Otherwise, people should be able to enter a game as an organized team--just don't lie about it or be deceptive. Hopefully, 1.2 patch will make it easier to check this kind of stuff before a m
I noticed this as well today (Aug. 22).
I think that the new AI settings (see Pacov's post above) should help to address some of the concern about the AI feeding. For example, if killing an AI with 1.5-2X the hitpoints of a human player returns only 25-50% of the gold, targeting the AI may not be worth it in many instances. Actually, an AI-controlled demigod with 2X health might be dangerous in some instances, though I'm sure that the AI will still find ways to die unnecessarily.
Sho333 is right If Grounds Spikes did zero damage it would still be great for taking down towers. It's not the damage that matter but the fact it buffs everyone else damages by lower building armour. Walk up with a creep wave with priest, minotaurs and siege archers and use ground spikes so everyone deal more damage. You can use Bramble shield if you have to but the minions absorb damage better then shield does. Also use it to kill any
I totally agree, Neilo. It makes no sense to see someone with no games (or even worse, a lot more losses than wins) getting ranked over people with good winning records. While I understand how the experience system works, I would much rather see rankings based on the W-L record or some equation involving a player's wins, losses, and average favor points per game. Actually, I do not think that a player's name should appear in the rankings at all until they have played at
@Sho333 Even if you are talking about a late-game queen with decent health, buffed minions, and abundant mana, she will have to switch back-and-forth between modes, wait for ability cooldowns, and hope that no one is watching. Perhaps I am confused by what you mean by "with relative ease." Anyhow, just the math of it is against her, especially in the early to mid-game. A basic archer tower has 3000 hps; a light/dark tower has 5600 hps. Level
I'm really unsure about that for me the Queen with Ground Spikes (As they effect building armour) you can deal quite a bit of damage when pair with a good auto attack which could be reinforcement or minions. And since she's a general you can walk in with minions to absorb the tower attack while she strikes. By level 2 Ground Spikes the tower can go down extremly fast.
Yeah, she can damage buildings with Ground Spikes, Sp
QoT is far below average as a Demigod Killer and as a Hybrid Demigod/Base killer but she can erode enemy fortifications quite well provided she is not under attack from an enemy demigod.
I don't think that she was ever intended for demigod killing or base assaults (notwithstanding Uproot), although she can get her share of assists if played moderately aggressive. She's best at defensive support (shields and debuffing)
theres always that one game that makes u think a char is OP.
^^Yep, what he said.
Yeah, it is funny how we have generated 8 pages of speculation, criticism, and a bit of whining without a single stat, video, or even the real name of this demigod. Frogboy, can you help us out here?
I have mixed feelings about consumables like health and mana. If you have plenty of gold, sure, by all means reserve an inventory slot for this. However, if you have that much gold, then you probably can just start stacking health/mana items and regeneration stuff. In early game, I choose a good favor item and then go out and fight until I can buy a nice piece of equipment like the Hauberk of Life or the Vlemish Faceguard. Any gold left over I inves
Hi Sho, Thanks for this. I just started playing QoT, and your build is similar to mine. It's a balanced, non-minion build which mixes defense with some offense and which I think provides good support for a team with heavy-hitting demigods. The only thing that I would suggest adding to your build is Shambler (lvl 1 only) and Mulch Shambler (upgrade as needed). The shambler is more for eating than fighting and does some AoE damage when eaten. I would a
I have recently moved from Lord Erebus to QoT, and I like her very much. I do not think that she is underpowered (and she is certainly not overpowered). I simply think that people have to play her properly--she's the only general that can't be really built into a demigod-killing assassin. Like a lot of people have already said above, she takes patience and her best role is support. She's naturally a spell-caster, so she is very mana dependent --> which
I prefer default. Maybe I'll try high towers just to see what it's like.
BotF is a very good choice for a favor item, but as a few have said already it is not always the best choice. It's good for a solid early-game advantage if you are going to try to kill demigods. It also stacks well with other health items throughout the game. However, I use the swift anklet just as often, especially when playing Queen of Thorns (I could see how it would be helpful for Rook as well).
Only real problem I've got is the name. Somehow I doubt a 'demon assassin' would call itself Demon Assassin.
Stardock should have a contest over the naming of the two demigods here at the forum. The person who comes up with the best name should be mentioned in the release notes and maybe get a unique skin for their version or something.
Yeah, I'm sure that they are working on it. We'll probably get some details very shortly. I hope that they can release both by the end of the month.
There are some decent pre-made systems out there, but you'll probably pay a bit more for less performance than building it yourself. It's really not hard to build one, and there must be a ton of guides on the internet to help. Here are my suggestions: 1. Get something that can be easily upgraded. That is, get a motherboard and case that can easily be used for next generation hardware. Asus, Nvidia, and Gigabyte make good upgradable boards. It is much
I am new as well (loved the demo and just ordered the game), and there is some good advice in this thread. Many thanks. I would just add that the Demigod wiki ( http://demigod.wikia.com/wiki/Demigod_Wiki ) is also a good place to learn the basics about the game.
