Its fine, its not broken. At best its a portable regeneration crystal. Whats so overpowered about it?
There's a reason that the health crystal is all the way in the back of your base (crappy Exile notwithstanding). Massive front line mana and health healing is pretty broken. It reminds of when they introduced the bottle into Dota. At first it gave you pretty huge health and mana restoration with each use, and was quickly nerfed down to the much small
It's a legitimate term coined from the Warcraft 3 days on Gamefaqs
It was coined a lot earlier than Warcraft 3, and sure as hell not on gamefaqs
You should not be able to move while using the heart of life. And it should not be taking up a consumable slot, it should be in a normal item slot. That should fix it.
No. You are the one who is confused. Internal balance means nothing if a demigod is over or underpowered compared to others.
Of course it does, because they are 2 different processes. Once something is internally balanced you can measure it against the rest and adjust everything at once accordingly.
Because by balancing internally first, you take the risk of throwing off cross demigod balance even more , which will probably happen.
</
For all abilities to be viable and equal in all opportunities, they should just make every demigod exactly the same. lrn2metagame
I have no clue how you came to this conclusion. Again, look at Torchbearer. Internally balanced - there are numerous builds that all take different skillsets and no one skill is always taken (Full fire, full ice, ice with fireball, fire with ice rain, mostly ice with fireball and fire nova, half and half, etc) It's inter
Seeing what they have at the end of the game is not nearly as helpful as seeing WHEN they get them.
I've lured a few enemies to their deaths as they try to chase me and I pop heal as my ally flanked them. Wouldn't be possible if they could see the potion all the time.
Possibly, but I think the benefits outweigh the loss of stuff like this.
you should be able to guess that they have some sort of artifact without having to see their equipped items.
Knowing which one makes a huge difference. Being able to calculate how much % dodge they have, for instance, is huge on knowing your chances when 1v1ing them.
All oaks take sheild, is it OP?
All Oaks don't. If they did, yes, it would be unbalanced.
ll QOT take bramble sheild, is it OP?
Yes, Bramble Shield is currently unbalanced.
rest of what you said
You're confused. I'm not saying they are overpowered, I am saying they are unbalanced. You're obsessed with OP or not, I only care for internal balance. All abilities should be viable and
See, this game uses magical thing called netlag
And they really need to lower it. I'm sick of playing TB or QoT and having to literally mash on the 4 key for it to register. I'd like to press it just once one of these days.
Or whether they have the heart of life or not. So you can prevent them from using it. Another thing is you can't even see what buffs or debuffs enemy heroes have on, aside from the ones with visual cues like Bramble Shield.
Personally I think they need to significantly raise the amount of gold you get for killing creeps as there's little point to doing it now as you get nearly nothing and you get exp anyways by being in the general vicinity. You get far too much gold by sitting there and doing nothing. Enemy hero kills also give a bit too much gold in my opinion. (A few kills and they have an insurmountable item advantage usually)
You can't. You can't even see the items on your own people. You can't even see mana on heroes either. A very bad choice in my opinion. As I saw in an interview it's an interface limitation and they didn't care enough either way to do the work to add the ability. I hope that opinion will change in the future, as seeing enemy items was an important function in Dota that didn't break anything.
So I have to wonder, what am I supposed to do with my minions besides kill you that is going to make you happy?
Only Slaughter is won by killing enemy Demigods, and no one plays it. Most people seem to forget this. Generals are for pushing. Assassins are for killing enemy Demigods. At least, that's how it's supposed to be.
Sure I suppose you could make a new email account and proxy up a new IP if you really wanted to go through the toruble but it seems like a waste of time to me.
You really are naive to the methods of griefers.
Are you implying minions do something besides kill things?
Minions are not bite. If you're implying that bite is supposed to slow them for the minions to deal damage to enemy heroes then I suppose that's a valid point - and that ability is unchanged because the nerf isn't affecting the movespeed debuff.
+% mana regen works on +mana/sec items too? I thought it only worked off the base (and is thus useless)
Once you set up yourself as an ass on a forum you can then make amazingly successful troll threads, and this is one of them. Nicely done.
So by your logic, there are items that also need to be nerfed, like the heart, scrolls, and potions.
The heart definitely needs to be nerfed. Every hero uses consumables.
Out of all the reasons I've read that people think there is a need to do something , people using it in their builds is the worst.
Nonsense. You need to find out the reason behind why everyone uses it - and do not use other abilities. Say Bite
During my last game last night I opened my favor items to see that I had 17000 favor points and about 3/4 of the items purchased. I hope it sticks! More likely, I'll be back to 0 later tonight.
Last post in that thread suggested posting it to ideas, so I did. If that's too redundant, I apologize.
Dyslexia has little to do with whether you capitalize or punctuate your sentences.
This doesn't make sense to me. Do you really believe that should be a factor in deciding which skills get nerfed?
Uh, yes, it should. All builds should be viable in different situations. If every build has one ability then that ability is obviously too strong (or the others are just too weak)
Don't know about you guys, but it worked flawlessly for me last night. It no longer took 20 seconds to connect to everyone, joining the lobbies was much faster, and there were no failed to connect fatal exceptions. From all my experience it is working better. (My ports are forwarded btw)
Can someone actually say why the hell you need to open so many ports? ImpulseReactorOptions only requires a range of 20 but everyone always seems to want to open 6000-6200. Why so many? I use another computer for battle.net which uses 6112-6119 and I have those forwarded to the other computer and I'd rather not change it. I'm having Demigod use 6002-6100 right now and it seems to be doing fine, but even that is 80 ports too many. Is there an actual reason e
I don't think you'll ever see a Erebus build that doesn't include bite unless he is given a new dps/instant damage ability to replace it. Imagine not taking bite...what are you going to do? Auto attack and bat swarm escapes? Kill players with mist?
He's a general. He's not supposed to be killing players. That's kind of also the point of the nerf. Perhaps they need to buff the minions so they're actually viable....
