I tend to agree Nesrie; APB was described to me as Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer component with better customisation. It never really made much sense to me, and obviously it didn't make much sense to others. The problem with MMOs, in my opinion, is that most pitches would contain "World of Warcraft" and "even if we only make X% of the revenue...". APB, while trying something different, simply wasn't an MMO, and the subscription fee attached to the game killed i
Dosn't it really come down to price? If they sell you a £15000 car that was worth £90000 with some of the features 'switched off' that you could 'upgrade' at a later date - is this a bad thing?
If that was the case, sure. However, it's not. Take software as the prime example. Resident Evil 5 shipped with additional content on the disc that was locked, and they charged full price for the retail version.&nbs
This new idea is more akin to video games that let you "download" extra weapons and features, when those features were on the disc all along. Still, it's an intriguing business model, and before you unleash your rage in comments, you should know that Intel's just testing it out on this low-end processor in a few select markets for now.
Caught this article
$30.00 for a downloaded film? I think the Pirates will tear this to shreds in a matter of seconds on principle alone. I see nothing wrong with creating movies from their digital software and selling them online. However, judging from the simply fucking terrible story carved out for Starcraft II and the latest World of Warcraft expansion, and the fact that Activision Blizzard doesn't invest in creativity, I think the 'movies' will be little more than the terrible Anime-t
[Civ 5 Customers] minus [Pre-existing Steam Customers] = [New Valve Customers]. This is the problem I have with the situation. Turning all PC Gamers into Valve customers gives Valve a very powerful position, and considering the history of very powerful Computer Based companies (Microsoft, Activision, EA, etc.) I can't say I'm thrilled.
I agree with the review in most aspects, and am glad they acknowledged the exellent support we've received so far. I'd personally rate Elemental at around 7/10.
...The battles in the Civ games are all about RNG basically. It's possible to beat a tank with a warrior, and I don't like it...
I tend to agree. However, if they took this into consideration and presented some stylistic animated scenes for a tomahawk wielding Barbarian single handedly defeating a Tank in an Epic confrontation - with optional slow motion - I think Civ 5 would be something else entirely. All kidding aside,&nb

I did not mis-quote, quote out of context, nor did I segment your quote in order to better allow myself to address a particular point you made. You made a statement, I quoted it and made the necessary amendments to it to allow it to read correctly and used the correct methods for doing so to ensure anyone reading would understand that I have done this.

Damn. Now I wish I had of bought two copies of Elemental.
Rumours have been confirmed : Duke Nukem Forever is being 'polished for release' by Gearbox studios for a 2010 release, heading to consoles in 2011.
... I was just wondering if any of them made it into the release version? I remember reading that they might be included, albeit requiring a shortcut extension? Any info would be welcome.
I'll have to disagree. Not only is the game entirely playable, it's also pretty fun to boot! If you're having issues, I suggest you post in the support forum and hopefully the community together with the Stardock-ians can help you solve it. Threads like this do little to help.
After playing the game solidly for the past few days, and on a variety of machines, I haven't seen a single crash or major issue that makes me scream at my machine. I had a weird 'Activate your Product' thing earlier, however that's all fixed. Obviously my case is a 'best case' scenario, considering people are experincing some fairly sizeable issues. When Elemental is 'working as intended' I think it's brilliant, and a lot of fun. I think it's perhaps not as 'full
If a game is built with square grid based level design, such as Elemental, then a square grid based movement system is more natural and compliments the design of the map. Arguing that the measured distance travelled from the centre of the centre square in a 9-square grid to the centre of a diagonal square within that grid being different to the distance travelled to the centre of the non-diagonal square is moot unless the games uses that measured distance for calculations
Terrific, thanks very much Kryo :)
Don't let the neigh sayers get you down Brad, it's a great game. Just make sure those review boys get the latest update - I'd hate to see a re-tread of Demigod. Rest assured, what you guys don't add in the modding community certainly will. Why, I've already made my first quest and delusions of grandeur are already setting in. Give it six months and Elemental will have more content available to the player base than they'll know what to do with. Now, back to
I use a multi-display setup as my Gaming Machine, however due to the nature of the expanded viewing space, I now can't scroll my moving my mouse to the side of the screen because my cusor simply moves on to the next monitor instead of scrolling the camera. I looked through the options menu briefly, and I couldn't see an option to fix this (there could be, but I didn't see it). Just wondering if there is a solution to this, and I'm simply too stupid to figure it out? Any he
Complaining about an early release? Really? Really?
*shrugs* I pre-ordered the game some time ago, have been enjoying the Beta process - even Beta 1 - and am looking forward to coming home form work and downloading the full version to play through. Release day spelling mistakes, mis-communications and math 'problems' are not new in any form. Does it make the game 'bad'? Hardly. It might mean the game could use some additional polish, however we're not dealing with EA Games or Activision Blizzard here - pa
