Is the adc at a disadvantage due to GDM in fights during laning? Nope. You are morgana - as long as you aren't being a jack arse and skimping on wards, you still have excellent peel and engage. If you die because of a small hp difference, you are not doing it right. She ain't leona - she shouldn't be chilling in melee range needlessly (pre 6 anyway).
</
Well, that's interesting
Well, like i said, it's only a handful. Typically The only time it, really truly, has an impact is when you die only barely (< 50 hp) and health or armor quints would have saved you. Suddenly, there's a 300 gold swing, your ADC gets zoned (or dies in
To be fair, there IS a huge difference between a Morg who has Zhonyas and one who doesn't. Morg can also be played in a very safe manner (similar to Janna), against single-target CC lanes. Blitz probably being the biggest one, and actually being one of his opponents last night and he WAS able to get a pretty early NLR. So there is some method to his madness (even if it is "situational" madness - which is the best kind of madness). i agree that GP10 is "often" not going to
i wasn't referring to last night's game. Mostly just my own observations (usually in-game, and sometimes flawed by emotions or incomplete information). And, when i wrote the quoted post, i did actually forgot that was an Alistar top (? - Cow mentioned he had a Trinity Force), which makes him a much more respectable threat than a support, so preserving your own skin is a lot more important.
Righteous Glory is pretty absurd atm in combination with Cinderhulk... It also has a mega-short cooldown, unlike "Ye Olde Shrelias" which had a very meaningful CD. i certainly feel that there is a strong justification for having 2 Righteous Glories per team (though not always). Supports and Junglers saves ~350 gold compared to Randuins, which is nice, and it has a pretty forgiving path as well. Starting Coin is a good way for the Support to lose botlane, and it's nice to g
To a certain extent: "you gotta be brave" People with point-and-click 3-second CC will always pose a unavoidable threat to carries. Something that i have noticed is that you (pacov) will tend to "over-respect" those type of threats, regardless of other factors. Often, you will position in such a way that they just do a hard target switch to another squishy, and you're now too far back to contribute while they are distracted. To a certain extent, if y
That was why i asked if we could play together on Friday night while i was on, since you can Mystery Gift after a game, rather than waiting 2 weeks.
and the chase potential is amazing! Even better than Vaynes when ahead, imo.
He hasn't gotten on much lately but I think he is coming over to my house tonight so I can get him set up with friend request if he does.
An even easier way to do that would be for us to play a Normals together - i believe you can do a post-match Mystery Gift right? -- also my quote feature is broken on my browser even though i know
i've sent friend requests already but he hasn't accepted \:
pretty sure Karl finds that insulting :P
Sion was HUGE last patch as a jungler . . . Sure, he was even better top, but he was also one of the best junglers. Which just shows good he is :P
lol nerfing tank junglers before we even know if they are good? Thanks riot.
umm... pretty sure we know that they are good (even if it was mostly only Sejuani who was truly oppressive). In any case, the jungle is similar in difficulty to Season 2 starting with the second clear if you go Trailblazer, but it's got a much higher gold income.
what if he rejects our friend requests :P
He uses "high skill cap" meaning "high skill capacity". That is, high skill floor, high skill ceiling. Think of it as a really big cup... It can hold a lot of water, but it's kind of dumb to use a huge 32 ounce cup to drink shots. Likewise, "low skill cap" is "low skill capacity". Low skill floor, low skill ceiling. A lot of champs in LoL generally have this "high, high" or "low, low" pattern. Eg, nearly every tank is "low, low", Assassins (when they aren't OP) general
not to mention ALL the tanks just got pretty massive buffs. i feel like playing Sejuani or Volibear would be a lot stronger atm... and the win rates + pick rates clearly indicate that
you know that the -10% CDR reduction doesn't actually help your clear speeds since the Smite Rework. It only reduces the ICD from 15 seconds to 13.5. It doesn't make you recharge faster. That said, i do know that Riot wants to change it to recharge faster in the future (maybe this patch with all the tank changes?)
Vi knocks up people en-route to her "R" target. It's just as "multitarget" as a J4's EQ combo. (in fact, a 4-man CC from a Vi ult in a chokepoint was one of the reasons we lost one of our ranked games). Anyway, i think we both agree that Gnar + Jarven is a lot better than Gnar + Vi. i think that Vi has some very strong synergy with Assassins in the midlane (particularly in the assassins versus assassin matchup, since J4 might have a hard time hitting EQ against the more slippe
the utility in his kit and ease of use still makes me think he's top tier/must pick ban.
Wouldn't Vi's be even easier though?
bryff's on the ranked team? let me know when he plays with us and he can do that top irel (not that I have any say in that [e digicons]:)[/e] ). I like his irel just fine btw... he just doesn't really play ranked w/ us and I don't consider him part of the conversation as such.
i can agree with that statement... That said, i do agree with Vi > Jarvan.
sej-cov
What
Well, we'd probably need to also have control of the jungle :P Either that or the top laner would need to be Maokai/Sion (someone who can kill raptors level 1).
Seemed like one of the reasons they might have tried it was that you guys had Leona Support since it limited your options to counter. Sending a hard engage no sustain Support champ to a lost lane wasn't an option but you guys did it anyway. I think Pacov's right, it should have been him and Hunny who both went top or they should have just stayed bot together and let Hedgie farm under his tower.
Yeah, at the same time, Leona WOULD be
Post-Game Wrap up (mostly from my perspective but going to include comments w.r.t to other people as well when applicable). (spoiler: played pretty poorly overall, and felt like i was an overall-detriment. Though at least 2nd game was just madness so that's whatever) Match #1: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1735490030/
I won't tolerate shit talk from people getting to play w/e the fuck they want while I'm playing a role I'd rather not.
i mean, i feel like people in general do not give you a lot of crap. The only thing i can think of specifically that happens with any sort of frequency is when you split-push as a support - which isn't "crap" as much as "we need you please group". People very rarely needless/incorrectly whine about things such as:
Another option for pacov would be playing Leona instead of some of the more passive (but stronger) supports, such as Janna. (Not that Leona is bad - Janna is just stronger). i think that pacov has supported Hunny while playing Graves + Leona a few times already. If Karl is playing more aggressive junglers (such as Panth), Leona is nice because she can provide strong gank support, while transitioning into a midgame tank and initiation tool. That would also fit a "neglect toplane" styl
