Ok so I am apprx two hundred turns into a sandbox game on Crusade with 35 players on Godlike AI in a Ludicrous Galaxy. The Iconians just gave up in their war against another player and gave me what remains of their shattered empire because I treated them well. Well Surprise Surprise I see Cities! Now wouldn't they have had to have farms on one of their planets that were conquered at some point? Heck, maybe they delete their own farms after they get their cities built. W

If the ship design you are upgrading to is that class type that is what you will get. I often upgrade ships and also to change them to something else in their hull size and have never encountered this problem other than from an error on my part when creating or updating the design in the designer, that tends to default to support and you must cycle to the class you want prior to saving it.

As you start planning your next iteration I would like to suggest complicating the planet types by adding different atmospheres and mantels along with planet class. With the intention of alien civilizations being suitable for one type and not for others, terraforming aside, the goal would be the ability to live amicably in a given solar system with an alien race who posses no threat of colonization of your necessary planet biome. Such situations could make for natural alliances and neutraliti
Alright, Brad, I've had it. I wanted to keep a low profile on here but I can't take it anymore. I work for a major gaming website, in fact the largest in terms of organic traffic. Because I love 4x games so much and because I know the potential this game had, I actually spent my entire work day today, the ENTIRE day, testing out 2.61. I have confirmed, beyond a doubt, that the AI races build zero farms. You are the one w

I've watched 1-4. I like thinking I would do this different and looking out for something perhaps I didn't know.
I actually do have more. I just have to edit it.
Don't edit, I'll watch the whole thing. Btw, when will you have a contest to select a lucky winner or two who get to play multiplayer against the dev team?
BTW, the Insane map size says "48 players recommended". How the heck is one supposed to get 48 players?? There's only about 10 races defined, plus about 8 minors.
When you are starting a new game and picking your CIV along with the option to edit or create a custom race it gives you the option to copy. Easiest way to get more races. I have four factions of every race but now usuall

Can you change the anomaly wormholes to be like the defended precursor anomalies, whereby our survey ships wont go through them without our prompting? Also, I dont know if its a bug, a "fix", or random unluckiness but in my newest game since the patch the other day the womholes haven't sent me very far, rather just within territory I have already explored. That was a bummer, because I went into the ship designer to create constructors, survey, and colony ships o

Exactly why Government needs to regulate Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Google should be forced to hand over its search engine to competitors via anti-trust law. Facebook example Use anti-trust laws to break them up. Give facebook's source code to several startup competitors and allow free profile movement between them and interlinked connectivity between the companies. Everyone would still be connected through the Facebook platform but would not
Eventually, a game reaches the point where the feature requests and complaints are very esoteric and the community, not seeing those demands met, begin to get very negative about the game (hence, a lot of the recent negative Steam reviews are from people with hundreds of hours in).
Opt-in Updated 11/7 Fixed issue where the AI move limit was being doubled multiplied.
Does this mean the AI will no longer be moving 30 tiles on Godlike with its Colony ships at the start of the game? I think it used to be about 15 but I started a couple games recently and thought this is ridiculous with t

Im on turn 163 in GalCivIII Crusade, 35 Players all Godlike difficulty on Ludicrous map. I attacked and destroyed a unit transport belonging to the Terran Resistance and salvaged the craft. Afterward the next turn tab now displays " Lost Citizen " and when I click it, it brings me to the citizens tab where there is nothing I can do to advance the game. I see I have on the transfer units page of the tab an entrepreneur who I assigned to my planet Saturn but o

I was playing a new sandbox game of Galciv3 Crusader last night and I promoted a commander to Privateer but his ship did not change, it remained the standard command vessel even though his portrait reflected his new promotion. I waited a couple turns to see if it would upgrade but it didnt.

I played probably over a 1,000 hours of Galciv2 and loved it, one of the few complaints of the game was the slider for research, military and social construction. I thought it could be improved. I bought Galciv3 in a bundle with all current expansions including crusade so I have not played the base game. But from what I gather if the wheel I hear of was like the slider, thank you for getting rid of it. Crusade kicks a... Keep up the good work! [quote who="Frogboy" reply

Military starbases are devastatingly effective in planetary or area defense, especially when several are constructed overlapping the area you want to defend. I could see the argument made to increase the number of administrators to two over your idea of reducing to zero. Right now Im in a game on a ludicrous map with 35 godlike AI players who all declared war on me, except my one ally. I have had several dozen turns of wave after wave of the combined armada's of 34 Civilizations smashed to pi
