Please dont tell my nerf them to non combat status.
I'm hoping as well. While I don't think they should counter LRMs as they do now nor be a spamable fighting force I would like to see them remain useable. I've used them in a pinch when I've been low on metal and crystal to stall attacks.
DRM is nothing but a trick to force customers to purchase the same product again and again; which several big DRM advocates (such as the CEO of sony BGM) have publicly declared as their ultimate goal.
That idea is an epic fail with this consumer. I never buy activation limit games. I will buy games that don't have DRM several times over.
They had 8 episodes to tie up all the lose ends, and instead they tried to tie them up in the last 30-45 minutes. Especially the Starbuck thing, and to a lesser extent the Six and Giaus that the real Giaus and Caprica Six saw. To me, those two things felt like a cop-out, like they had no idea what to do with them, so they "magiced" them away.
Exactly! Starbuck dies on large gas giant planet. Starbuck comes back in shiny new viper many light years away.</
I disagree. I thought the first 3 seasons were awesome (with occasional exceptions. I can't think of a single show where *every* episode is great) but season 4 wasn't too great in my opinion. Even up to the last 30 minutes of the last episode, I felt like I had no idea how they could possibly wrap the series up.
Not only did I love BSG but I was able to get my family to watch it. Seasons 1 and 2 the whole family was hooked. Season 3 we lost ones interest. By season 4 we

If I remember, the preorder for Diplomacy was the same. It was not in the game list until the beta was released. But everything worked when the Diplomacy beta was released an it then showed up in my game list.
No, I do not have this problem. Then you're the only one. I've seen every top pro out there lose multiple caps in a game to lrm.
The problem seems to be the caps them selves. One of the main online strategies has been build your one cap ship then scuttle the cap ship factory. Has that changed recently?

Yeah. It IS like "Dances with Wolves" The time just flies. I have to say if you get the chance to see it in 3D on the big screen then DO IT!! I thought it might be a preachy movie but it's not. It does get the point across though that we can choose to be a part of this big mindless consuming machine or we can choose another way. That's kind of ironic considering that we're all fans of a game that models the colonization, expansion, conquering and seizing of resources.

Too bad. Being able to join a MP game mid way would probably go a long way in increasing it's appeal in Sins. I had been watching an AI War video and he talked about players being able to join mid game. Granted that's a co-op game.

Would it be possible to add the ability to give? Give ships and/or planets, as well as resources? Would that help increase the appeal of multi player if a player could join mid game and be given a ship or planet to start up? What if a player wanted to leave and they could hand over their empire to another player rather than leave it to AI?

Personaly I'd get Modern Warfare 1. One of the few new games that will run well on most PCs and looks good too. Try the demo.

A PC with say a 82865G Graphics Controller will not be able to render the planets and they will look like ghosts, for lack of a better term. Your install in probably fine.

That's a shame really. Epic used to be one of the good ones. They would eventually release a patch that would remove the the need to have the CD in the tray. The original UT could be copied and moved any dang place you wanted but I bought the game in several editions because I liked it so much.
Oh, and if you make your game require hardware that only a couple million users have, guess what? You’re not going to sell a lot of units.
A-flipping-men to THAT! I'd still be playing the next versions of Splinter Cell if UbiSoft didn't require a major hardware upgrade with every new release. That and adding StarForce "protection" but that's another topic.
Pressing the F5 key will bring you up to the network menu and show you who is connected and disconnected. No it is simply when people are beat instead of leaving the game they just stay in. That way if someone gives up they get the win simply for being the last man standing.
Okay. Thanks for the F5 tip. To anyone that does this AFK thing.. You're really lame.

The thing I don't like about Ubisoft is you need to upgrade your graphics card frequently. Played Splinter Cell then had to upgrade to play Pandora Tomorrow. Chaos Theory worked okay (Thanks for the Star Force malware by the way) Then went to load the demo for Double Agent and it warned me I didn't have pixel shader 3.0. Remember back in the day when you could play a game no matter what you had for a video card? It might have looked like crap but it worked. Nobody but hard core gamers
Speaking of things not building, anyone notice that if you research more than one fleet upgrade/capital ship number upgrade, none of the ships that you queue up will build until all the research you queued is done?
I've seen this. The way to work around that is to never have a negative number for fleet supply in the build queue. Nothing will build until the fleet supply number is positive.
I refuse to ever support them.
I try to avoid them like the plague. Unfortunately I've given in twice. 1 to buy a Madden game for our Wii and 2 to buy Rock Band. My daughter was very eager to get Rock Band with a drum set. I looked all over town and finally found one. Then I saw the EA logo and thought damn it! Why couldn't she want Guitar Hero! Oh well. I guess Satan needs to eat every once in awhile too.
