I think Brad is well known for his Gamer's Bill of Rights. I hope to heck Stardock will stick by it ... I know Stardock has gotten bigger since then, and its frustrating to me but understandable Stardock has caved to market pressure by selling on Steam, but I hope there's an absolute rule that games that are, at their heart, single player will never get the heavy anchors of obtrusive DRM attached that only have the effect of f
You can activate them on steam!??
Some games like Warhammer and Company of Heroes moved to Steam multi-player so you could activate the keys on Steam after the conversion.

I pretty much abandoned Impulse/Gamestop in less than a year. Some games I was lucky enough to activate on steam. I wish the Stardock games would have done the same. I know. Business and stuff. Unfortunately I see GoG heading in a similar direction with their move to movies, indie, and losing publishers. So I'm not "supporting" them much anymore. I think they want to be an Apple store knock off.

I personally will only buy EA if I like what is completed at the time of purchase. I am DONE with promises, road maps, schedules, etc. I have very much enjoyed buying some games early and watching them grow. But they were games that I liked at the time of purchase. Star Ruler, AI War, Space Engineers, and Planetary Annihilation come to mind as games that were interesting at initial purchase and only got better as time passed. I won't buy a tech demo. I don't care
That and if Steam ever goes down you can still get the game through Stardock's system.
So the game does becomes part of the Stardock account through the registration. It's not just an unlock so to speak but a serial registration. That does make some sense then.

I was wondering if Stardock would ever consider embracing Steam as their primary DRM scheme? To purchase a game now we customers need to have two login accounts. One with Steam and another with Stardock. Of course I have both because I used to be an Impulse customer. But many new customers are put off by needing two different registration processes. My thought is if you want to sell on Steam, why not go the whole way and use Steam's client as the registration. Thanks, and I look forward t
Drakensang is a good choice too, I am actually playing both the Dark Eye and the River of Time at the same time now.
I just recently picked up the Drakensang Complete Pack. I've touched both a bit and from what I can tell I like that the UI and controls are the same through the series. Makes it easy to go back and forth between them. I can't say the same for Skyrim and Oblivion.

I know I'll probably get flak but Skyrim. I'm a total Skyrim whore. I've had it for about 7 weeks and have over 130 hours into it. That is a personal record. It has just sucked me in with the large character selection, upgrade system where you upgrade by doing instead of assigning points. But also you can select perks to upgrade areas you want. Then there's the open world. I love Skyrim. If I could have only one game ever it would be Skyrim. Drakensang: The Dark Eye wo

I'm surprised to be included for free in the Legendary Heroes expansion. I thought maybe that wouldn't apply with Fallen Enchantress being a standalone release. I'm also glad that since Stardock is using Steamworks for multi-player we are getting this release with the steam key. Thank you guy 'n' gals at Stardock. [e digicons]k1[/e]

Now you have to uncheck installing Mcafee Security Scan when you update Java. Everyone uses Java. It's annoying. If I'm googling for downloads I avoid using cnet links.

Doom 3 OMG. When the portal opened I was in one of the game bathrooms and made the mistake of looking into the mirror. Scared the crap out of me! The game designer that put that in should get an award for Best Detail Ever.
Eventually, I got the sound of a TEC voice saying "This deal isn't working out for us" and a minidump followed immediately. The only TEC ally I had was Sel and he hadn't quit or anything.
This is pretty funny if you think of it as the PC speaking. "This deal isn't working out for us" CTD

I just check my receipts. Entrenchment - $9.95 Diplomacy - $9.95 I pre-ordered both but the price was the same on release.

I'm currently in a multi-player game of Armada 2526. We started it when the Supernova expansion was in beta back in February 2011. We are still playing it. We're at turn 142. Armada plays at a much faster pace than Elemental or Galactic Civilization so I honestly don't think multi-player would work very well because of the slower pace.
