By the way, I don't think it should be possible to instantly upgrade to colony size 2 ever, even with a good founding location. I say this because the jump to level 2 doubles your claims. How can that ever be a wrong decision? The removal of the life support is a step in that direction.
The only way to do that would be to remove the bonus for founding on resources. or turn it back into a trickle over

In my opinion yes. Along with scientific, and scav. Expansive got 'nerfed' too... but relatively buffed compared to everything else. Here is my thinking. So here are the important changes. Steel mills cost more power. Hurts robotic and scientific most, expansive a tad, as they don't need as much steel. scav unaffected. Power barons ecstatic. Robotic gets bonuses on its secondary’s from its primaries... which

Was thinking about ice condensers and dry ice condensers. and food. For those that dont know, food used to also be off during the night. Now it is on, but takes 2x power. It might be nice if the condensers were the same... at a nuts power cost. and for all buildings affected by day/night cycle, I think it would be cool to have a "leave on at night?" option... on by default on farms, off by default on condensers. It migh

I had thought about an idea about replacing the hacker array with a derivatives market. when you place down the building (mars street?), you now would have the option to buy and sell "paper goods"... useless, except have the same cost as the real good... and buying and selling them does not change the price of the real good. So if you thought you knew what the price of things were going to do, you could buy, sell, and perhaps even shortsell 'paper goods' to attempt to profit on

I assume the "Off" steel mill does not provide any bonus Off buildings definitely provide adjacency bonuses.

It might be the average of the steel mills? As the middle 2 steel mills ARE profitable.

So. some things have disappeared from the game, and I am curious as to why? just for performance reasons? The cute little monorails around your buildings. they were so cute! Your HQs having a measurable increase in size as they level up. watching little buildings pop up was so cute! And perhaps, most recently added and deleted, were the ferries which shuttled goods to and from the neutral colony. I feel the existence or lack of existence of these really really af

If it helps, Imagine that the "buyable" shares are only 51% of the "total" shares. You only win when you get "all" the shares, because hidden from the screen is the rest of the shares that you dont have to buy, cause you only need 51%. But (I assume) some simplification of the whole "shares" thing had to be done, for either or both of balance or gameplay reasons. Because, lets imagine 2 players both own "all" of their shares. Great, now they

Some things to consider: 1. Stock prices have a lag effect, they slowly move up and down. (buy an auction for an insane quantity of debt. your stock price will reach $0.10, but will do so slowly.) 2. When buying out a player, you are doing it at a "premium": you paid more than the player was "worth"... therefor, your stock price will fall after a merger, simply because your assets have decreased.

See title. In single player, if you are playing a game, and you lose, but want to see which AI wins... you have to watch on whatever speed it was on last, and you cant just speed up the game and watch it at "blazing" for example. Also. being brought out before founding a colony..... You cant drop the colony to the planet. or at least the AI cant. Weirdness anyway.

I have been in, and watched quite a few games where peoples stock prices are plummeted by massive debt, and then whoever gets the 'last click' on buying on the person, gets all the stuff, but none of the debt. Quill+mathas+arumaba+NL's game one is the perfect (extreme) example, where Arumba almost got right back in the game, by simply and only simply beating quill to the + button. I feel that when you buy someone out, you should get their debt as well

I found a weird bug, and srjek helped me verify it. Here is the bug: Two players send out cute little claim robots to claim a geothermal vent. While the robots are on their way, the player whose robot will arrive second, sends out a geothermal plant to be built on the spot where they will not get the claim. When the first player's robot gets there, the second player's robot will can

Well guys. Let me tell you. That was really fun playing over skype. Voice chat is really the way the game was meant to be played. It becomes like a board game, instead of solitare. And the reactions of blowing your enemies up with the black market, priceless. Really hope we can do this again sometime.
