Well ive just started a new game, about 100 turns in. The game so far seems much much better, and i was never one of the annoyed angry ones.. The UI is much more informative and little niggles i have seem to have been ironed out. Population use seems to add another aspect to the game along with global mana with upkeep. Great job guys, cant wait to see what the game is like by first expansion.

Hi, Been watching progress for a while on this but didnt buy it straight out as with all games i get i wait till the first few bugs are sorted. I do want to get this game but dont mind waiting untill its "ready to go" especially as there seem to have been a few issues being ironed out. Is it at this state now or are there a few patches to go yet before i should look to get it. I'm in no real hurry if its worth waiting.

Any ideas about what is causing this problem?
in the end, I wonder if the development overhead from EU was worth it ...
For me it was, I dont have the internet connection to be able to download whole games so purchasing the hard copy was the only option, and stardock dont do a expansion packs pac like EU. Even though it seems to have confused some people i am really happy they did it. Thanks heaps Sole and Seabass.

I was using the Drengin tree with a custom race. Yeah those were my thoughts on "Good" you have to give up all the planatary bonuses to get there then once you do you end up with the worst of the lot. I would expect good to have different but just as effective skills as evil, with neutral a bastardisation of the two (sorta like those starwars games like Kotor etc where good makes you awesome at some force skills but worse at lightning and chocking people and evil visa versa)</

I have just finished playing my first "Evil" game. One thing i noticed was how apparently overpowered Psyonic Weapons were. Yes they were expensive as hell, but the fact that the only laser weapon better is Doom ray was crazy. After a few of the premlim techs and xeno ethics i went down the laser tree and boom there it was, 12 damage each as apposed to 1 damage for laser V or 2 for Phasors. After that i never used any other weapon the whole game as by the time i got to

Dont be affraid to be a bastard. If you see a weak empire, even if you are playing the "good" ethical allignment, go for it as alot of your power comes down to the economy in end game 1) Use influence starbases to steal worlds. (watch your relationship with the civ you are stealing off.. if they are more powerfull dont go past cool.. hostile and they will often be about to declare war on you) 2) Start your race with economics, research and morale bonuses as these all help to g

My comments reposted from a similar Forum post. I'm honestly very happy with this product as it gave me the chance to have a hard copy of the two expansions in Australasia.[e digicons][/e] I also saw the "following on from" part and originally thought this was an expansion, but actually did some very very quick research and found out that it wasnt. IMO its probably a problem with the english translation on the box or something and was meant to be "following on <s

1) Trade.. alot, give races trade if they dont have it so THEY trade alot, you can only have 3 with basic trade but you can get alot more from others i.e 9*3 plus minors = lots of money. 2) economic treaties help 3) Who said War profiteering? 4) if you see an economic bonus starbase.. get it. NOW. If its belongs to a friend of yours (or someone who can smoosh you) send a ship next to it.. give that ship to someone at war with your friend and weeee its yours (assum

This was amazing, played an immense game with 9 apponents (only on Tough mind you) and between this and Galactic Bazaar i was able to buy / tech trade myself an empire from the other civs planets they just colonized! Saying that it was damn hard to keep myself in the green with all the added maintanance.. and all those slave pits etc being destroyed because i didnt have the tech was annoying. Eventually had all 9 opponants on 'close' and woo hoo diplo victory. Way more p

Not that im complaining at all because i took the time to check what it was before buying it, but... Quote from back of Jewel Case: "GC2:EU is a comprehensive standalone expansion pack for the best-selling and award-winning space strategy game. EU builds on the epic story, following on from DA and ToA - Two Expansion packs which have never before been released in European retail. At OP You could do what i did and build an influence base fleet. If another Civ only has their main two planets.. one or two influence star bases and 10 turns or so and they no longer exist and you have 4 planets!!![e digicons]O:)[/e] Rinse and repeat till you have ALL of them and/or can now build a big enough military to win THAT way.[e digicons]}:)[/e] Also If you can, find a tough ally.
