Hi Looking for ideas, My game has randomly started crashing only since 1.7 if i start a new game. (even tiny map with 2 races) Started a few times but the majority it drops back to desktop. I can load an existing game no problems (Huge Map with 12 races) I have verfied the integrity of the cache it finds 2 files wrong but then i still cant start a new game most of the time. My drivers are up to date. Do i need to delete and reinstall? &nb

You can manually run all of them if you like, but say you are at peace with all empires to the "east" but are focused on a war to the "west" you can automate that east half your empire and focus all your time/efforts on that half?
just enjoying myself in the end game and thought about a possible idea for comment. Having played a bit of Cities Skylimes recently the ideas of regions came across as a good idea for GalCiv Possibly. 1) sectors of your empire that run under different researched governments, with different defined wheel settings. I.e research and influence government sectors. 2) sectors of empires that can me handed over to a sector governor. This would effectively turn over the runnin
Glad to know it's not just me! Would love to know if there is any plans for fix it!
Maybe this is stupid, but I can't cancel a credits trade without clicking on it and manually typing 0 And clicking offer. Really annoying but I may be missing something? if not can we have it so we can right click to cancel a credit or trade good trade without having to type 0
Is it a pre 6.0 game? I seem to have less issues if I start a new game with each new major beta release.. My ongoing 5.2 game was still to buggy
So just had this happen in 6.0 with latest drivers. Exited to main menu, loaded a new game (immense) and the main map displqy was blank. Just quit and went to bed so will check more tomorrow. Good news is I had my first immense map actually load up! And quite quickly too.
I'm exactly the same weatherdown.. I often have to quit steam and load again to let me in again, or wait quite a while. Been happening since 5.2. i have been using custom graphics options in the game.. No bloom or AA or a few other things
I updated te drivers not that long ago, but good reminder it's worth a double check. system i think is ok: I5 @2.67 8GB ram Nvidia GTS 250 (needs upgrading but should still be fine)
Hey all, Having this his issue on reload of a game in which the main display is black. The UI is fine, mini map visible and I can select a planet and go to planet screen. In addition if I hover over something where it should be the tool tip still pops up. If I quit the game and reload (completely out not just to main menu) it seems to correct itself. Anyome else had this? Other issues: - Resolving battles has jammed my game multipl
I just think that something is needed to make it more of an exiting and viual impact. Lump sum if keeping It as is and adding influence pressure or what have you would mean you would want to pay more attention to it
So in my current game, haven't opted in to 5.1 yet, every time I click on a minor race star base (which happens to be on an assention crystal?) my game jams and quits to desktop. Not sure if 5.2 will fix this. Also, pretty sure a minor race should be chasing assention crystals?
Having played a bit on the new Beta 5, (assuming im not just getting this all embarrassingly wrong [e digicons][/e] ) and having played Civ V quite a bit recently, i was thinking that the way Civ V (BnW) does caravans (i.e. freighters) is pretty neat. I always thought it weird in GalCiv you had to have a freighter travel 10's of turns to even start per turn income. It would make more sense, if doing it that way if it was a bulk amount (say 200bc on each arrival instead of
I Wonder if they can add some content to the game so that you can have Tall empires, similar to the Civ kinda attitude. Doesn't mean that you can compete with a 30 planet empire but you can get enough advantages from just focusing on a few planets that you can compete with someone who blobs in the first age? Maybe make blobing worse on morale and economy and research untill you get more established. Do you focus on initial research, economy etc or do you rush blob
Before i do this has anyone else had Mattsan's problem? or am i ok to update Its showing 8.64mb now but i dont want to root the game.
Verified and still 1.99gb
Ok just out of interest what is the best start you have had so far? Within the reach of my starting city i had the following - 3 Farms - 2 Weat fields (started with 1 right there plus another probably could have been reached later game with influence so lets say 2.) - 2 material pits - 1 Refugee Camp - 1 Iron Ore node - 1 crystal Had a AI start right next to me with - 1 farm - 1 library - 1 lore place
1 got 1.96Gb aswell.. will wait till something gets sorted out. Here i don't think cost its that bad (New Zealand) probably 10-20 dollars
[quote who="NeoWolfen" reply="66" id="2853526"]@Draconic123 So because you don't have an issue those of who do "still" should just move along? yeah don't think so. I have been very polite and patient on the subject and you sir shall not sway me from that. So troll elsewhere the issue is far from being a "limited to a handful" issue and has been a recurring issue despite every patch since release. Now as you dobn't work for Stardock and therefore do not have anythi
NeoWolfen.. its not sweeping under the carpet.. its there are already 3000 threads that say the same thing.. try joining them, we all love mega threads! Its not an issue for everyone.. i for one haven't had one crash, but i don't know if how good the computer is affects it though.
I wish he had given a new /100 or /10.. He still sounds a bit negative even though the original review PC gamer gave a 70.. so with the additions and corrections game wide you would expect quite a bit better? Good points in general, i think he has nailed the major issues that will be adressed
It would be awesome to have someone who has played alot narrate a game.. just try and cut out what isn't required as any more then 10 mins is starting to get pretty large to watch on youtube esc things. Like i said before.. discuss the original start and set up for city then skip a bunch of turns and discuss early unit design and fighting then skip a bunch more and head in to mid game then late game quick hints? Anything would be good though. Id do
It would be interesting to see if he was even paying remote attention? As to the whole "you ran in without waiting and didnt attack the same mob" anyone who has played any game knows you are meant to wait for them to come to you if they are melee only.. seems silly that "frogboy" would genuinely make such a mistake. If i was in that situation you can go two ways. 1) just play as quickly as possible showing what can happen and how it happens (and apparently di
Edit: Man im a dumb ass... yeah bandits are just groups of single units.. DUH Though it would be good if once you had the tech and the required building you could train 4 (or 8 or 16) guys into a party (and take maybe half the time but with only a gold fee (they dont need new equipment)) save ending up with lots of single units and then 4s and 8s once you get 16 man formations. Original Post:
I got swamped too.. but after a few auto save reloads and moving some troops round (and training even when you dont need to so you have a large stationary force in you cities) i seem to be ok now. I think its good though, gone are the "im going to leave my city undefended and go a'venturing into the wilds" its one of those choices for your soveren. Choice 1 - leave in capital to defend baddies Choice 2 - adventure and get some xp oh and Choice 3, bit of both to
