It's already been stated the Interceptor is NOT replacing the figher and its role is NOT one that is furfilled. Please read the Rebuttal section in the original post.
I HAVE read the Rebuttal section and I disagree.
We need to get beyond the limitions of just figher and bomber. You mentioned with your suggestion that people will need to spam even more carriers. That is not something we want.
Yes it is. However, I think the Radiance's Animosity is bugged, but still efective against the AI.
The interceptor is not being added to balance strike craft, its being added to add dept and tactics to the game with the added bonus of letting people who build strike craft just to counter other strike craft a more effective option
I agree that Sins does should have have much emphasis on strikecraft, but interceptors are not the solution imo. Each race should get unique SC-specific upgrades. This will add to uniqueness, but will not add a unit whose role is already fu
Just plow through them. That's what I did. Capital ship shields are strong enough that a few hits won't deplete them but get their mitigation capped, so afterwards hitting mines doesn't hurt as much. Just set your Dunovs on auto for the shield regen ability, and charge in.
Im playing a GBoGH game as TEC atm and I'm winning so far with 3 Kols, 2 Marzas, 1 Akkan and 1 Dunov, but I havn't encountered mines yet. Thanks for the info, I didn't know caps could do that and surv
Some people do not seem to know what interceptors even were. I speak in the past tense because "interceptors" have not existed as a seperate class of warplane since the late '80s. Air-superiority fighters have taken on their role. Interceptors were NOT dogfighters. That is what fighters are for. Interceptors were purely anti-bomber aircraft with poor agility. They had NO air-superiority capabilities. Adding in interceptors in this game will make no sense
Space is pitch black and dotted with stars, not lime green with dense clouds or sky blue with a white horizon. It's just way too implausible.
Have you ever heard of something called nebula? Besides the skyboxes look great! Space CAN be colorful. <img src="file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Julian
I've done it with v1.05, captured about 20 pirate ships but still got the achievement in the end.
Thats good to know. Thanx for testing it out. One other thing: Because I have Entrenchment, I'm worried about enemy mines because I won't have scouts. (As Advent I could capture them with the Rapture) How has anyone been able to deal with mines with TEC and Vasari?
1. Patches are through Impulse only. 1.13 is the current patch. 2. Entrenchment is an expansion only available through Impulse. 3. Not that I know of. However 7 deadly sins is quite a popular mod. 4. No campaign. Just skirmish and mp.
Unfortunately for the fruitcakes, 2008 was cooler as well, that makes how many years now of continuous cooling?
This is idiotic reasoning . Even though 2008 was cooler it was still actually abnormally hot if you compare it to data ever since recording began.
Increased food supply is a bad thing however, because it leads to more people. And quite frankly those high food supplys will not last and massive hunger will follow.
My least favorite to play with has to be the Antorak Marauder. Its barely capable of combat its non ultimate abilities are all hard to use efectively and the autocast AI for its abilities is totaly stupid. The only truely good thing it has going for it is base speed witch is fairly fast for a capital. "fairly fast for a capital?" what are you talking about? the Maruader is the second fastest unit in the game (not counting SC) The Only thi
Thanks for the replies! As TEC I will just get 1 Akkan and maybe 1 Sova and more Kols. So as Vasari I'll get more Kortuls and more Space Eggs and fewer Skirantras (maybe none) and just 1 Maruader. The reason I chose 4 Skirantras was because I would need SC numbers and micro-phasing aura. I was also thinking of using scrample bombers to distract enemy fighters. What about my Advent capship combo though? Is it any good
Perhaps this is oversimplifying the problem, but it seems to me that it should be reasonably possible to balance the flak's attack and cost so that it properly counters carriers/strikecraft. It seems to me that this should be possible even in your high-speed high-damage hit and run attack scenario. How to do this? Figure out whatever proper ratio is needed of flak to strikecraft, whatever that ratio is.
Building 1 flak per enemy squadron properly cou
I'm interested in getting this achievement and I have thought about what combinations of capships to get for each race. TEC 4 Kols 2 Sovas 2 Akkans 4 Dunovs 4 Marzas Advent 4 Radiances 2 Halcyons 4 Motherships 2 Revelations (I know they suck, but I'll get them for the sake of getting every type of capship) 4 Raptures Vasari 2 Kortuls 4 Skirantra
I really like these ideas. I hope IronClad is having a look! How about this one: Destroy 20 enemy Starbases only with your own Starbases and: Build a fully-upgraded Starbase at all of your planets.
What is the Vasari lab? Never heard of it.
In the intro at the start of the game, it mentions a Vasari Experimental Transport Lab.It is not an in-game unit.
I like the Vulkoras because its so aggresive looking and its tough too.
Sounds like the Vasari experimental transport lab in the intro.
I have considered using this tactic for a long time, but I have rarely bothered. Maybe I should use it more. Anyway, SC ball has a weakness. It makes it so much easier to kill them.
its scenario C that i was talking about in my other post. in that scenario you basically have unconstested squadron dominance. if thats the case i'm not sure if you actually do get better results with Heavies then you would by just adding more carriers with bombers. the bombers are equally good against Caps and better against Heavies and Structures. you've already got the fighters to mop up his light armor stuff (LRF and support cruisers) so what's left that Heavy Cruisers actually hav
I find this really annoying as Vasari as I used to use Vasari SB with Frontal Deflector Shield to charge through enemy minefields and kill heaps of mines at once. Now the Vasari SB leans out of the way. So annoying. I can no longer use this tactic. Why?
Not a bad idea. Could work.
I find it really annoying how they continue to attack even if the bounty has been depleted. They should flee is bounty has been depleted. It makes no sense that pirates will continue to fight even to the death. I mean, how can miserable criminals be braver fighters then the AI empires? I agree with what you say though.
Pretty good. Nice job.
Some of my favourites . . . This eye never closes (the way the overseer says that is so creepy) You may speak! Without delaaaay Run for your lives!! I can wait no longer! My power is unmatched!!! None can oppose me, yargh!
No matter the target is out of range..... No matter the target has been get out of the grev well via phase jump.....
I've never ever experienced that.
