I have 10 Object Docs - two a the bottom and 8 on the left (tabbed as drawers ). If I update anything in WB such as color change, when it comes back from the gray screen (please wait....) I only have the two on the bottom and one of the drawers. OD thinks it has them all because they are all listed and the little bouncing arrow bounces where they SHOULD be, but they're not there. I unload OD and start it again and voilla - they're back. The current desktop is on my pag

I've been at it a month and I think I have a handle on all the tools and what does what. So let's say I want to start my own theme (Desktop, WB, Cursors, RC, Icons, etc...). What is the easiest to start with? I looked at WB and almost said forget it - that's too deep for this shallow mind. But I think I can get there if I start in the right order. So my pixels are drawn and I'm ready to skin - any advice would be appreciated as a place to start and order to go in...
From the filedownload.log (C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\WCBrowser)
I feel like I'm on another planet here. I don't have a log in that folder. I HAD a filedownload.log in C:\Program Files\Stardock\WinCustomize\SkinBrowser\data but it hasn't been written to since 2/17. In that same folder I have a new download file that chronicles my current failures. I think I have all my updates. Why is my file structure different? EDIT Never Mind - you're using SD Central -

I'm new to this (about a month now) and had those exact same fears. The software is very stable and I have never seen a better support forum. Some people get addicted to games - I found my addiction. This is such fun!

Yipes! Thank you very much. I thought it was just me. And one other Q? When I did the re-install of WCB I also got WC Tray which I never had before. (Where did that come from?) So when I ran WCB and hit the News/Web Browser tab, it would come up and ask me to install WC Tray. I did that, closed everything down, ran WC Tray and from that WCB and still when I hit the news/WB on the left, I get "Install WC Tray?" And I have to go through backdoors on "My Account" to even get to the forums now

I posted this in New Users yesterday and another "Citizen" was having the same problem that just started yesterday. It did not get resolved in that forum. I'm not familiar with the escalation process, so thought I would try this forum. In WinCustomize browser, I am getting "There was an error downloading the selected library - please try again"/ I have rebooted and re-installed WCB and now I can't get to any of the libraries through WCB. I am run

I was able to find out how to put Windows Search on a doc via searching the forums, but can't find a way to put "Run" on there. I'm sure it's here somewhere..... Thanks,

OK - The list in the left pane starts with Skin Updates Manager and goes right to Libraries as the second entry. I think I read somewhere that you can customize the list but can't remember how (or where I read it) but back to the point. If I go to Libraries (the second entry, I get the view the Z had in his picture on the right. I can get to the libraries via that route. I cannot highlight the specific library on the left pane and get there (which I could do yesterday) and I cannot search (w

I'm not sure I understand the question - when I am in WC Browswer - I don't have anything on the right ?? If you're talking about getting there with generic IE; yes, I can do that. If there's something wrong with the browser interface - wouldn't there be a post? PS - I don't get the error on Windows Blinds - are you?

In WinCustomize browser, I am getting "There was an error downloading the selected library - please try again" Doesn't happen on all libraries but about half of them - also if I do a search in all libraries I get the error. I have restarted WC and rebooted my PC - This just started today. Any ideas? Thanks,

I just stumbled into this wonderful world of desktop customization a few weeks ago and the terms were way above me (not to mention the fact that I had yet to discover Object Doc). Unfortunately I used a technical term to describe what I thought was a generic request. That sort of thing might happen in the New Users forum......

This was a workaround I found that's almost as good for anyone that might be interested in the future. Create an Object Dock with one Dock entry of the program (In my case, Outlook). In Miscellaneous Options --> General Misc Options, check the following: when shortcut it run, if program is already running bring it to the foreground only.

I don't think that's what I want - I think that's what I have. What I want is to be able to click the Object at all times and not have to look at the taskbar to see if it's already running. If I click the Object again the way you described, I get a second occurance of Outlook running instead of going to the one that was started first. Hope that better explains it. An example is IE - if you click on a link, it brings up the current program running but starts a new tab

Is there a way to make a desktop object check to see if a program is running and start it if not --or-- maximize it if it is already running? E-mail Outlook - I want to be able to click on that icon and start Outlook BUT if it is already started, I want it to come up in a window from the minimized state. Is that possible?

I'm brand new to this, but have a question about icons. My goal is to have a background picture of a beautiful office. I would like to be able to click on the objects in the picture to activate a program (e.g. sunny window for weather, phone for address book, globe for internet browsing,....) So can I create an "area" that is clear for an icon and place it over that part of the desktop picture?
