Dynasties were one of the more original and interesting things about EWoM...the system just needed to be fixed a bit. Like having an heir take over as sovereign after the previous sovereign dies. Ahh, succession. This is a very interesting point, and one we talked about in great depth. You are right tha
How will savage lands interact with terraforming? Will there be terraforming spells that can limit the effects of some of these lands, or even cause wild lands to exist where they previously didn't? That would be awesome, but I know a lot of interactivity is likely to be limited by the variety that these have.
I must say, when I saw the title of this thread I was worried it was something much less avoidable. Thanks for the heads up on this!
I think a sovereign throne as a specific building would be conceptually redundant. It should really be a palace that does that stuff. If it's more like "here are some things that can happen when your sovereign is stationed in the city with the palace" then that would be a better implementation, I think.
I already made my comments on the actual interview at: https://forums.elementalgame.com/408837/page/2/#2940024 Regarding the video: Nice to get a look at some things we hadn't seen before. New Elemental Lords in particular. I do reckon the script was a bit on the cheesy side, though.

Well this is a damn shame. Especially since dynasties really didn't need that much more to be great. Just basic heritance, really. Anything more would be gravy. The fact that I can just turn dynasties on is nice, but I was hoping they'd get that functional aspect too, and turn from a half-implemented good idea into a compelling game mechanic. Does this mean that cities still just up and vanish if an enemy sovereign dies? Also the "less city microma
This is certainly an area that needs work compared to WoM, far moreso even than the land areas. At least, I imagine the Elemental Lord of Water should necessitate something here, but I hope we can get more than that.

No, Trojasmic, this is bugfixes. That should be apparent if you actually read the changelog.
Kenata: The violent bullying is really not the most problematic or important kind. Minor violence can be gotten over fairly quickly, and anything serious is extremely rare and will pretty much always be dealt with severely. Social bullying is much more significant, because it's very common in some forms, because it can effect the psyche and stay with a person for a long time (especially in the midst of puberty-related identity issues) and it's socially acceptable, at least within the
Hm. I get hardware failure all the time. I just make it work. Usually holding the disk drive while my Xbox starts does the trick. If fingers are insufficient, jamming a knife in the crack takes care of it, but that has potential to scratch up the disk label, which while purely cosmetic is something I'd rather avoid if doing so is trivial. I view it as much the same as blowing dust out of old nintendo consoles, or working around bugs on PC titles. I don't mind any of those things compa
So is anything nice in the works for those of us who play entirely or almost entirely on the cloth map?
To say we'll dissolve into dystopia is meaningless. Besides the eugenics, we've already pretty much reached the point of Huxley's Brave New World, and that's probably the most famous dystopia out there after 1984. That some people don't consider us to be in a dystopia merely illustrates that it's a matter of perspective: What people once found unpleasant, we now find normal. Is that bad?

Comparing Starcraft 2 to WoM's multiplayer is such an outrageous comparison its hard to believe anybody s
