Sounds very good. Erebus weakest ? I played him all the time in Pantheon... yeehah! I get stronger! I repeat: yeehah! (grin improved`ishly) I hope Rook doesn`t lose too much damage for his awesome Hammer Slam - despite having to face it, I think that level of damage still suits him. Very satisfying for the many new players I am sure are going to take him out for a spin as their first Demigod choice too. The darn Boulder stun is more important I think. Mayb

Increased difficulty, ideally bereft of cheating, is great, but I also hope (regardless of difficulty level played upon) Demigod retains some of the more casual or easier A.I. routines rather than replacing them entirely. Variety is my own ideal - I would very much welcome varied A.I. experiences, no matter how sophisticated the algorithms get. A host of patterns is better than a single pattern of behaviour, imo. Thanks for listening.

So is a D-Link DI-604 (DL-604?) hub a problem with Demigod... is it old problematic tech or is it inconsequential? I saw Frogboy`s post elsewhere stating older devices are not equal to newer ones. My Motorola cable modem however is beyond my control - fairly new as far as I know, but entirely in the dispensary hands of my provider (who provided it).

Itemless Balancing I believe the one of the best ways to balance the different Demigods is to play the game without any Items, forcing all play to be predicated upon Demigod abilities only. With Generals, some accommodation or exception would need to be made to allow for their Idol Minions. Sorry I never posted this much earlier - been meaning to, just never could remember. (a counter-argument might be that Item purchase

Me? Sure - thanks. The game takes credit though: a great experience is a great experience. Didn`t think I was up that high, though lots of A.I. gaming helps. Do what I can. Looking forward to the full game release. The 13th or 14th of this month, isn`t it?

*Did* the developers try anything along these lines? I can understand an avoidance of non-flat terrain for the sake of playfield occlusion... you wouldn`t want to obstruct the action with the very terrain the game takes place upon.
... you gather that the best of the best vary their builds from match to match depending on what happens. It isn't the "same damn formulaic purchasing game". People vary their builds depending on what happens. ...
I inveigh against predictable possibility there...

Might we see maps featuring 1. knee-level fogs/mists and 2. dynamic & deep shadowing? I think it would be inordinately cool to fight amongst such terrains/environments. Was there any experimentation done with such?

Spectating is a great feature for Demigod for the reason you cited - observing folks who ragequit or the like. It would also be nice to have the option to watch a match as a neutral party. Not sure about divvying up players into divisions. Do we really want to divide what could be a niche community? Does this encourage participation from new players or discourage them by virtue of layers of classification? I could live without play-by-play commentary. I can figure out whats go

Allow the game setup toggle of randomly selected Items available for purchase, at all shops. Items would be chosen completely at random from an Item archive/database. Different Items might be in the shops therefore each time you play. Sorry if that wasn`t too clear in my original post.
Yeah, it would be nice if snipe took a bit more skill. At the moment it's just cherrypicking from afar
At least it has a maximum range out to which it can be done. Maybe the cooldown time period should be tripled to match its inordinate usefulness. No joke: tripled.

Its great. A solid game wherein you feel like you wield a good deal of power, with a very unique cast of playable characters to choose from. But there are some things to watch. Chief amongst these is connectivity. Will Impulse match Steam in ease of use and function? Demigod`s Pantheon play mode is a great idea that requires absolutely remarkable networking backbones to be everything the developers intend it to be. At this stage it may be fair to say such utility is yet unpr

I`m no master Regulus guy, but after some skirmishing against A.I. I found the consistent threshold for Regulus becoming unstoppable was the purchase of Ashkandar`s Sword. Applied to his ranged attack the weapon is THE gamechanger. I think either that item must be increased significantly in cost to beyond that of the Allfather`s Ring, or it ought to have its compounding damage boost lowered by decreasing the additional 120 damage to 30 damage - 4x damage 10% of the time is colossal.</

Include an option in game setup to Enable Dynamic/Random Items in shops and artifact shops. That way, everyone who wants to play the same damn formulaic purchasing game can do so time and time again, while others can have a varied and fun experience beyond the 30th or so contest. An idea.

So if I have the right combination of Items, my Demigod can play with a 50% Evasion/Dodge. On average every 2nd strike, including special ability strikes, misses. To some of you this is a trivial (?) trait. So bereft of a 100% stun capability, good Demigod players will have nothing to do, nothing to use (near quote). Hmm. All players work under the same rules. Randomizations apply to all. [The Close Combat series - another example of a competitive experience su
Quoting WarlokLord, reply 16 I will attempt to illustrate my truth here by agreement. You are correct – randomization and chance have no place in a competitive play game like Demigod. [...Item CHANCE Ability...] Hmmm... looks like random chance *already* plays a huge role in this tight competitive play game. I estimate that about 40% + Items feature some randomi

I suspect everybody and his dog eventually purchases Ashkandor`s Sword. When they do that - boom... there goes the scale in their favour (10% chance of 4x damage per hit is amazing). Assassins usually have a speedier path to it than Generals with their Minion expenses.
